Last week's JJK Modulo Chapter gave the fans a proper look at the incredible fight between Maru and Takeda, and it is quite clear to see that Maru is absolutely sensational in battle. Of course, this battle between Maru and Takeda didn't give fans a look at the maximum power of the former, but even a glimpse was enough to show the fans how truly overpowered he is.

It is safe to say that while Jujutsu Kaisen lost its strongest sorcerer in Gojo Satoru, now, it has the official replacement of Gojo in the form of Maru. The fact that Maru's nature resembled Gojo Satoru was already something that a lot of the fans had noticed before, but now, even his cursed technique has been revealed to be on the same level as that of Gojo Satoru. Fans can't help but notice all these similarities between Gojo and Maru, and it's quite clear to see that Gojo Satoru has now been officially replaced in the series.

With the power of his Limitless and Six Eyes, Gojo was able to fight against the strongest of enemies and crush them. Maru is somewhat similar. Maru too has a peculiar eye power and when it opens, his powers are unleashed. His cursed technique is just as overpowered as Gojo Satoru, as was quite clear for all the fans to see. Maru's cursed technique allows him to change the laws of order itself. He can do things like cancel gravity, or even manipulate the states of matter as freely as he wants in the blink of an eye. Maru's Cursed Technique might actually be even greater than that of Gojo Satoru, and that only adds to the similarity between the two.

While Maru resembles Gojo Satoru in Jujutsu Kaisen, fans also know very well that Sukuna has his own version in the story, and that's Dabura, the King of the Simurians. Of course, these characters are more than just a copy of Gojo and Sukuna, but fans love to point out the similarities between the two. It just goes to show how good a job Gege Akutami did with the likes of Gojo and Sukuna, and how iconic they've become among the fans over the years.

Jujutsu Kaisen is currently one of the biggest shonen series in the world. The manga, which ended in late 2024, can be read online for free. It is available to access on Manga Plus, where this series used to be made available weekly. Jujutsu Kaisen currently has a sequel, called Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, which runs in the Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine. Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 6 will be released on October 12, 2025.
