The new Jujutsu Kaisen movie will be released on November 7th, 2025, in Japanese theaters. Fans in the United States will have to be more patient, as the movie will only be available from December 5th, 2025. The idea of releasing a recompilation movie before the new season has been done by many other series, so it's hardly surprising that JJK is doing the same.
The third season of Jujutsu Kaisen is scheduled for release in January 2026 and will be split into two parts. The first cour will release in January, but the second cour doesn't have a release date yet, which is understandable. The second cour is likely planned for release in Summer 2026 or Fall 2026.
Some fans feel disappointed with the schedule, as they have been waiting for several years for the third season. However, it is important to remember that it takes a great deal of effort to produce an anime. Some studios may rush the production, but MAPPA is different. The studio is renowned for its quality, so it will never do something that will hurt its reputation.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Will Face A Lot Of Competition
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 is going to face stern competition from other anime series. So far, the following series have been confirmed to be released in January 2026:

- Hell's Paradise Season 2
- Fire Force Final Season
- Oshi no Ko Season 3
All four anime series will air in the same month as Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3, and they will be challenging it for the spotlight. Out of the four, Frieren will pose the biggest threat to JJK, as it's already the number one-ranked anime on MyAnimeList. While the competition is stiff, it's good news for anime fans, as they can enjoy so many outstanding series in the same month.
