Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 has already begun, and it's safe to say that it will be one of the most talked-about anime of 2026. The center of attention in the first two episodes was Itadori Yuji and Yuta Okkotsu. Previously, it was teased that Yuta had been sent to eliminate Yuji, but fans knew that there was more to it than meets the eye.

Based on the recent showing in JJK Season 3, it seems quite apparent that Yuta Okkotsu is among the strongest characters in the world. In the fight against Yuji, Yuta showed that he had outstanding physical abilities. After all, he was able to keep up with Yuji, who is well-known for his stamina and physical strength. Yuta was able to knock out a mighty fighter like Choso with a single blow to the head.
In addition to his immense physical abilities, Yuta Okkutsu is also extremely proficient at using weapons. Often, he imbues his blade with cursed energy, enhancing its power in the process. Yuta used his sword in the fight against Yuji and, on many occasions, got close to ending the sorcerer's life. He has also made use of the sword to get rid of cursed spirits.
Obviously, this wouldn't be possible without Yuta's immense cursed energy, which brings us to the next point. Yuta Okkotsu has a ton of cursed energy. In fact, his reserves are superior to those of Gojo Satoru, the strongest sorcerer in the world. However, it is worth mentioning that Gojo Satoru's Six Eyes prevents him from ever running out of cursed energy.

Yuta Okkotsu's immense cursed energy stems from Rika, the Queen of Curses. Initially, Rika was a burden and a danger to Yuta, but after her spirit passed on, she turned into a blessing for the latter. Due to his vast cursed energy, Yuta is able to fight for extended periods of time without any problems. Another benefit of having such a tremendous amount of cursed energy is that Yuta is able to enhance his attacks with it. While fighting Yuji, he kept on adding cursed energy to his strikes, which made it almost impossible for the hero to defend. Yuta can also use the cursed energy to reinforce his body and protect himself from any attack that would have been fatal otherwise.
Furthermore, Yuta can use Black Flash, a powerful attack that can cause devastating damage. Lastly, Yuta has the ability to summon Rika, a special-grade cursed spirit. Unsurprisingly, she is the main source of Yuta's strength, and without her, the sorcerer wouldn't have been as powerful. Fans who have watched JJK 0 should be familiar with Rika's strength, but the uninitiated don't have to wait for long to see the cursed spirit's full potential. In fact, viewers who watched the first two episodes of season 3 have already gotten a taste of Rika's might after she subdued Yuji easily.

The Culling Game arc is the focus of the third season. In fact, it has already been mentioned that Tsukimi is going to be forced into participating in the Culling Game, and Megumi has already asked for Yuji's help in the matter. Obviously, Yuta won't allow his junior's sister to suffer a cruel fate, so fans can expect the sorcerer to be heavily involved in the tournament.
Since Noritoshi Kamo is hosting the Culling Game, it's safe to presume that there will be a lot of powerful sorcerers who will be a part of the competition. Naturally, Yuta will have to face off against one of these individuals and get the opportunity to show off his true power to viewers. Hopefully, it will happen sooner rather than later.
