Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 finally returned after years of absence, and it had a debut to remember. It was quite clear that MAPPA had once again outdone itself and created a masterpiece that will be talked about for years to come. The new season of Jujutsu Kaisen debuted with two new episodes instead of just one, and, as expected, they contained a ton of new information.

JJK has a new strongest sorcerer after Gojo and Sukuna. He will play a major role in JJK season 3.
One of the more interesting tidbits revealed in the episode was related to the legendary sorcerer, Gojo Satoru. Since the beginning of the series, it has been clear that Gojo Satoru's combat prowess is unmatched, and there is no one who can beat him. However, JJK Season 3 has revealed a character who has more cursed energy than Gojo Satoru.

In JJK Season 3 Episode 2, Yuta Okkotsu finally talked to Itadori Yuji about the current situation in the country. After the Shibuya Incident arc, Gojo Satoru was sealed away, which had far-reaching effects. Most importantly, it allowed the higher-ups at Jujutsu High to issue the order for the extermination of Itadori Yuji. They were holding back because of Gojo Satoru, as they didn't dare to upset the strongest sorcerer in the world, but with him gone, they were free to do what they wanted.

Yuta told Yuji how he had planned to 'kill' him to fulfill the vow and save his junior from the top brass. Before Yuta stabbed Yuji, the former disclosed that he had superior Cursed Energy Reserves compared to Gojo Satoru. However, he also clarified that Gojo never ran out of energy because of Six Eyes. Yuta's statement proves how superior Gojo Satoru is to the rest of the sorcerers and why Kenjaku was so desperate to seal him away. The villain knew that it would have been impossible for him to accomplish his goal if Gojo were freely roaming around, which is why he hatched a cunning plot to trap the sorcerer.
Itadori And Yuta Will Try To Rescue Gojo Satoru
Once Yuji had been 'killed,' Yuta went to Naoya Zenin and asked him to report the same to the people at Jujutsu High. Then Yuta dragged Yuji to a safe place and revealed that he had met Gojo Satoru, who had asked him to take care of Yuji. As the conversation between the students continued, Yuta revealed that they were planning to rescue Gojo from the Prison Realm, but they needed more information.

How is Jujutsu Kaisen aiming to go bigger than the Shibuya Incident? Only a huge battle royale set across the country, of course.
So, they sought an audience with Tengen, as they believed he might have the answers. Unfortunately, the episode ended before Tengen could divulge any details. However, there is no need to fret, as Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Episode 3 will return on January 15th, 2026.
The Culling Game Is Going To Start Soon
Another major reveal from the first two episodes was the existence of the Culling Game, a competition for sorcerers and non-sorcerers. People throughout Japan will be competing in the tournament, and they will have to follow a certain set of rules. These are:
- Once a participant awakens their cursed technique, they must head to a colony of choice within 19 days and pledge their participation.
- Players who break the first rule will be stripped of their technique.
- Non-players will become players once they enter a colony. Additionally, their entry will be taken as a pledge to join the Culling Game.
- Participants will earn points for killing another player.
- Each individual's life has a certain number of points.
- Players can spend 100 points and negotiate with the game master about adding a new rule.
- The game master needs to approve any rule unless it hinders the Culling Game.
- Players who do not gain new points within 19 days will be stripped of their technique.
The rules certainly do sound complex at first, but fans will get a better understanding of them in the coming episodes as Culling Game is going to be the focus of Season 3.
