This article contains spoilers from Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo.
In an amazing turn of events, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 15 surprised readers with the appearance of the Divine General Mahoraga in Yuka Okkotsu’s all-or-nothing duel against Dabura Karaba. The shikigami’s arrival only confirmed Yuka’s ability to use the Ten Shadows Technique, which Megumi Fushiguro and Ryomen Sukuna previously utilized in the original Jujutsu Kaisen series.
The battle between Mahoraga and Dabura is heating up in JJK Modulo, but only one victor could emerge. Between the two fighters, Dabura has the upper hand with his alien cursed technique, but longtime fans know how powerful Mahoraga is, especially the shikigami’s busted adaptation ability, which overwhelmed not just Sukuna but also the legendary Gojo Satoru.
After Yuji Itadori, Gege Akutami Finally Sets Up The New Strongest Sorcerer In Jujutsu Kaisen
Yuji is strong, but so is this newly rising sorcerer in JJK Modulo.
Mahoraga Vs Dabura Officially Begins in JJK Modulo
Dabura Fails to One-Shot Mahoraga
- Yuka summons Mahoraga against Dabura.
- Mahoraga's adaptation against Dabura begins.
Thanks to Yuka Okkotsu, the Divine General Mahoraga is finally back, and there’s nothing more satisfying than seeing the most uncontrollable shikigami spring back to action with a huge grin on its face. This is the first time Mahoraga appeared in JJK Modulo, and it won’t be the last, unless Dabura disintegrates him completely with a combination of different alien techniques in upcoming chapters.
Mahoraga is Yuka Okkotsu’s trump card against Dabura, who is said to equal Ryomen Sukuna in threat level. Upon seeing Mahoraga, Dabura immediately unleashed his alien cursed technique, which combined mass with killing intent in an attempt to one-shot the Divine General. However, Dabura’s cursed technique isn’t enough to vanquish Mahoraga, as the shikigami begins to adapt to the alien technique’s properties.
I’m sorry, Dabura.—Yuka Okkotsu
Looking back, Mahoraga was an incredibly difficult opponent to deal with, so much so that Sukuna and Gojo had to use overwhelming power to neutralize it. The more he sticks around on the battlefield, the more Mahoraga's adaptive ability snowballs, turning every exchanged blow into a growing advantage, which Dabura should figure out as soon as possible to win against Mahoraga.
Dabura Can Win Against Mahoraga
Dabura Could Use Diverse Techniques Against Mahoraga
For Dabura to defeat Mahoraga, he must use diverse cursed techniques to prevent the Divine General from fully adapting to any single phenomenon, overwhelming it with constant variation before its wheel can complete its rotation. This strategy was proven and tested by Sukuna in Shibuya, where he deliberately cycled through diverse forms of cursed techniques before obliterating Mahoraga with the Divine Flame, which was an overwhelmingly decisive blow.
While it’s unknown how many turns it will require for Mahoraga to adapt to Dabura’s alien cursed techniques, even a single completed rotation could turn the battle in the shikigami’s favor. Still, the fight is just in its early stages, and fans have not yet seen the full extent of Dabura’s powers. As someone who’s on par with Sukuna, Dabura likely possesses far more devastating abilities that are strong enough to finish Mahoraga.
As such, Mahoraga may end up as a plot device to showcase just how powerful Dabura is and why Gege Akutami designed him as a Sukuna-level threat. Fans have not yet seen Dabura fight for real, but using Mahoraga as a measuring stick makes it easier to understand, appreciate, and compare his power against powerful sorcerers such as Sukuna and Gojo. This is the perfect opportunity to give fans a taste of Dabura’s full power.
Yuji Itadori Might Show Up As an Outsider
As of writing, Yuji Itadori is still missing in action, but that doesn’t mean he can’t intervene in the fight between Mahoraga and Dabura as an outsider. He has a long history with Mahoraga, and his connection with Yuta Okkotsu and Maki Zenin can pull him back onto the battlefield for Yuka and Tsurugi’s sake.
Knowing Yuji, he wouldn’t stand idly by without stepping up to protect his people, no matter the risk. As Nobara said, Yuji is tired of attending funerals, and that fatigue with loss might push him to come out and face Dabura after the latter defeats Mahoraga. Besides, his reverse cursed technique might even do wonders for Yuka, who is at the end stage of her illness. For now, however, fans should keep a close eye on Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo as the battle between Mahoraga and Dabura rages on.
