Following the events of the previous chapter, most fans are expecting Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 15 to show an intense fight between Tsurugi Okkotsu and Maru before the duel between Yuka and Dabura begins. While Maru and Tsurugi had once shared a friendly relationship, the conflict between the Simurians and the Japanese government has turned them into fierce rivals with contradicting principles.
Unfortunately, JJK Modulo Chapter 15 is shaping up to be the turning point in Maru and Tsurugi’s relationship, where their friendship and differences collide in an epic showdown. They were supposed to become good neighbors working together to exorcise cursed spirits around Japan, but that’s ancient history now. With Yuka Okkotsu’s life on the line, as well as the lives of other Simurians, there might be no turning back once the battle begins.

It’s been a while since Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo revealed Yuka Okkotsu’s terminal condition, keeping fans on edge as her survival remains uncertain. Time is running out, as Yuka only has a few months to live, but her sickness doesn’t stop her from facing Dabura in a duel that will determine the future of the country. As Yuka’s brother, Tsurugi feels obligated to protect Yuka from any threat, so it’s no surprise that he’s willing to fight for her, even if it means facing Maru.
Unfortunately, with the absence of powerful sorcerers in the current era, Japan only has Tsurugi and Yuka to defend the country, regardless of their condition. While Yuka can enter into a Binding Vow, as Tsurugi mentioned, the risks are still immense. With a Binding Vow, Yuka could gain instant power, but against an opponent comparable to Ryomen Sukuna, even her enhanced abilities might not guarantee victory.
Caught in these dilemmas, Tsurugi is determined to stop Yuka’s duel with Dabura at all costs. One way to prevent Yuka’s death is to appeal to Maru’s sense of reason, but that might be difficult to accomplish given his loyalty to the Simurians and his obsession as a Rumelian warrior. For now, Tsurugi has no choice but to draw his blade against Maru, fighting to protect Yuka and prevent an all-out war.

From time to time, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo gave fans glimpses of Tsurugi Okkotsu and Maru’s abilities. However, the manga has yet to reveal the full extent of their powers, creating suspense around how far they can push their abilities in a serious fight.
At present, fans know how powerful Maru’s abilities are, as his cursed technique seemingly distorts the natural laws of order, shattering conventional limits and giving him immense offensive potential. Maru’s Rolloluca, or cursed energy, could even sustain Naunax for years, with at least half of that energy coming from Cross. Plus, Maru's aura even reminded an elderly grade 1 curse user of Yuji Itadori's presence, suggesting that Maru carries the same monstrous potential rarely seen in the current era.
