Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo is shaping up to be quite an incredible sequel manga, with each chapter showing the fans why Gege Akutami is up there with the best modern mangaka. When JJK Modulo was first announced, fans were largely skeptical about the quality that it would serve, but it is quite clear to see that JJK Modulo is not just a sequel for the sake of it. Gege Akutami is carefully crafting a brilliant story around the new characters of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo and the lore in itself is incredibly intriguing.
Gege Akutami Confirms Yuji Itadori's Next Big Battle In The Jujutsu Kaisen Sequel
Yuji has a huge battle coming up against one of his worst enemies in JJK Modulo.
What makes things even more exciting is the fact that this all takes place in the same world as the one that fans saw in Jujutsu Kaisen, and many characters of the old era are alive and well, waiting to be reintroduced. Most recently, Gege Akutami officially confirmed to the fans that Yuji Itadori is actually still alive, and that means it is only a matter of time before Yuji goes on to return in this sequel series. To keep the idea of Yuji and his achievements alive, Gege Akutami is constantly reintroducing old characters in JJK Modulo, and now, he'll also be drawing Yuji Itadori in a new color spread, which fans are incredibly excited for. It all seems like it leads up to the grand return of Yuji Itadori in Modulo, although to be fair to Gege, the story is so good at this point that it doesn't need any old characters to make it exciting.

It has widely been reported that Jujutsu Kaisen will be getting a new color page later this week, and fans are incredibly excited because Gege Akutami will officially make his big return. As most fans know already, Gege Akutami is the writer of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, but he doesn't illustrate the manga. The manga is illustrated by Yuji Iwasaki, another talented artist.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Gojo Satoru's Return Has Officially Been Confirmed In The Upcoming Project
Gojo is returning to JJK, and fans are excited.
Fans do miss Gege Akutami at times, but to remedy that, the author will officially be returning this week with a new illustration of Yuji Itadori in a color page. Meanwhile, in the same color page, fans will see Yuji Iwasaki draw Maru, another main character of the JJK Modulo universe. Essentially, this new art is going to be a Yuji x Maru art, and fans absolutely love the idea.
Gege Akutami choosing this particular moment to draw this Yuji Itadori art is also quite curious, and it tells some fans that Gege might be planning for Yuji's return any moment now.

Yuji's Return Is Around The Corner In JJK Modulo
Yuji Was Confirmed Alive
For fans who aren't aware, Yuji Itadori is now confirmed to be alive in JJK Modulo. This was confirmed when Mahito appeared in Modulo after Tsurugi went over the space between life and death. Mahito lies in limbo at the moment, and he's awaiting a certain someone — Yuji Itadori. When Tsurugi passed over, Mahito thought it was going to be Yuji, but was later disappointed to know that it wasn't him. The fact that Mahito still hasn't met Yuji and remains in limbo confirms that Yuji hasn't died and has never passed on to that realm. In other words, Yuji is still alive and kicking, and that basically confirms the return of the character at some point in the JJK Modulo manga. It is only a matter of time before Yuji Itadori will be seen again, although he'll be a lot older than he was in the original story.

Jujutsu Kaisen is currently one of the biggest shonen series in the world. The manga, which ended in late 2024, can be read online for free. It is available to access on Manga Plus, where this series used to be made available weekly. Jujutsu Kaisen currently has a sequel, called Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, which runs in the Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine. Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 9 will be released on November 2, 2025.
