This article contains spoilers from the Jujutsu Kaisen series.

Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo has done an incredible job of building up the most exciting next generation of sorcerers, and changing the world order by introducing alien races, such as the Simurians, to elaborate the world even more. At the core of JJK Modulo is the issue of coexistence between humans and Simurians. While both sides seek coexistence, in case common ground can't be reached, there could very well be a war, and this is precisely why Gege Akutami has set up Yuji Itadori to return to the story.

At this point in the story, Yuji Itadori is the strongest sorcerer in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen, and he is a threat great enough to deter even Dabura, the strongest Simurian, from invading Earth. Curiously enough, Yuji Itadori is nowhere to be seen. While fans know that he's alive and that he's still very strong, his whereabouts are unknown. The implication is that Yuji Itadori left the sorcerers at some point in the story. However, the reason behind that is simple. Yuji went his own way after the death of all his comrades, and more importantly, because he's the strongest of all.

Yuji Itadori Is Alone As Everyone Else He Knew Is Dead

It is quite clear in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo that Yuji Itadori is alive and well at the moment. Fans know him to possess tremendous power still, given that he's the chosen deterrent for Japan against the King of Simurians, Dabura, who is said to be a Sukuna-level threat. Yet, Yuji Itadori doesn't work with the sorcerers at the moment. Fans might be wondering why this is the case, but the reasoning behind it is quite simple. First and foremost, Yuji Itadori already served as a sorcerer for decades when he had to.

Let's try it one more time, Sukuna. From the beginning. I will accept you. — Yuji Itadori

With his generation, he fought against all the enemies and maintained peace throughout Japan. However, his era is over. Yuji's friends are dead, and fans know that Yuta Okkotsu fell, as did Maki. There is no word of Nobara Kugisaki or Megumi Fushiguro, but given that they're just normal humans, they're also most likely dead. Yuji has lost his team, and all his friends. For him, it is quite clear that this isn't his era anymore. Most of all, up until now, there was absolutely no need for Yuji to exist as the strongest sorcerer. The current era is quite peaceful and Yuji just wasn't needed, that is, until the Simurians showed up.

Yuji Itadori Is The Strongest, And With Strength Comes Solitude

The other biggest reason why Yuji Itadori is alone at the moment is that he's the strongest. Gojo Satoru clearly explained to the fans that with great strength comes solitude and those who are the strongest are often not aware of the true meaning of love. In other words, they're at the top alone, with nobody to understand them.

The one who will teach you about love is...me! — Gojo Satoru to Sukuna

Given that Yuji Itadori is the strongest in Japan right now, and has been for quite a time, and that he's essentially almost undying, he has nobody to understand him, and that only means that Yuji seeks solitude on his own. The only one who can end this solitude for Yuji is Dabura, who is strong enough to understand him by fighting with full power against him.

Yuji Will Return To Fight Temporarily

All things point to Yuji Itadori's inevitable return in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo. Fans know very well that he's around and that he's not aged much at all. At this point, Japan has also begun its search for Yuji Itadori. In other words, it is only a matter of time before Yuji is found and returns to battle, in case a war against the Simurians breaks out, or if there is a need for a deterrent against them.

Jujutsu Kaisen's sequel, called Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, runs in the Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine. Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 11 will be released on November 16, 2025. Fans can read the chapter for free on Manga Plus.
