This article contains spoilers from Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo.
Things are heating up in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo as the sorcerers draw closer to a confrontation with the Simurian Warriors in the latest chapter. While the aliens and the sorcerers are still in the process of knowing each other, misunderstandings about cursed spirits and the Kalyans have begun to escalate, pushing both sides dangerously close to an all-out war.
If it comes down to a war, Jujutsu Kaisen fans know that the current sorcerers need Yuji Itadori’s overwhelming strength. It’s been a while since fans saw Yuji Itadori on the battlefield, but with the current direction of the JJK sequel, there’s hope that he will return stronger than ever. For now, here are some of the things Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo has confirmed about Yuji Itadori.
Yuji Itadori Is Still Alive After 68 Years
Yuji Itadori Outlived Maki Zenin and Yuta Okkotsu
Approximately 68 years have passed since the events of the original series, yet Yuji Itadori is still alive and well in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo. He hasn’t aged at all, but fans noticed how tall he has grown over the years. The manga has yet to unveil Yuji Itadori's full appearance, but the glimpses shown so far make it clear that his presence exudes a level of power, authority, and confidence superior to his previous self.
While Yuji still wears a hoodie, the way he carries himself hints at a maturity and mastery over his abilities that fans have never seen before. Over time, people change in real life, and Yuji Itadori won’t be an exception, especially after his friends and allies, such as Maki Zenin and Yuta Okkotsu, have already passed away, leaving him behind.
Yuji Itadori’s Current Location Is Unknown
Yuji Itadori Is Alone
As shown in recent chapters of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, Yuji Itadori has been wandering the streets of what looks like a busy city by himself. His exact location is unknown, and no one, including the main characters, knows where to find him. In other words, Yuji Itadori has gone missing, but hints in the story suggest that his disappearance and isolation are intentional.
So far, among the new faces of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, Yakumaru is the only one who wants to find Yuji Itadori as soon as possible. With the presence of powerful aliens in Japan, Yakumaru believes Yuji must be located quickly, fearing that without him, the current sorcerers may face a threat they cannot overcome by themselves.
Yuji Itadori Is Japan’s Strongest Living Jujutsu Sorcerer
Yuji Itadori Remains the Last of the Legendary Sorcerers
Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo made it clear that the current generation of sorcerers is significantly weaker than the sorcerers during Gojo Satoru and Ryomen Sukuna’s time. Yuka and Tsurugi Okkotsu pale in comparison to the legendary sorcerers despite their massive potential to grow stronger, creating a problem that, if exposed to the world, could have disastrous consequences for Japan.
On that note, it’s clear that Yuji Itadori is the current strongest living sorcerer. Even the new generation of characters holds him in the highest regard, treating him in modern history as an extraordinary sorcerer who put an end to the Culling Game alongside the legendary Gojo Satoru. Without Gojo, Yuta, and even Sukuna, Yuji Itadori carries the weight of being the strongest sorcerer in the sequel.
Yuji Itadori Fought a Grade 1 Level Sorcerer
Yuji Itadori Traumatized Masaki Takeda
There’s little to no information about Yuji Itadori’s fights after the events of the original Jujutsu Kaisen series in the sequel. So far, only one fight has been confirmed through a character’s dialogue, revealing that Yuji fought a Grade 1 level sorcerer named Masaki Takeda, who uses a Shikigami in combat.
Masaki Takeda, who also goes by the name Masayoshi, is also an elderly Grade 1 curse user. From his battle with Yuji, he experienced overwhelming fear, intensity, and pressure, so much so that he had no choice but to retreat, escape, and save himself before Yuji could finish him. This was the first time he ran from a fight, and the second was with Maru, who also gave him the same uncomfortable feeling.
Yuji Itadori Is the Deterrent to the Simurian Aliens
Yuji Itadori Has the Strength to Take on Dabura
Aliens have landed in Japan in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, and they carry powers far beyond what most sorcerers have ever faced, especially the Deskunte champion, Dabura, who was revealed to be a Ryomen Sukuna-level threat. On top of that, there are Maru and Cross, twin Rumelians, whose cursed energy, or Rolloluca, has greater purity when amplified by a valuable resource called Mul.
The combined strength of the Simurians has already put many sorcerers on edge, and the difference in power between them and the current generation of sorcerers has become painfully obvious. Thus, Yuji Itadori’s presence is more critical than ever. For the higher-ups in foreign and diplomatic affairs, Yuji acts as a deterrent to the aliens, making him the linchpin and the deciding factor in any conflict with the alien refugees.
