Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the biggest shonen series ever, dominating in both the manga and anime industries. The Jujutsu Kaisen mobile game, Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade, has been delivering just that.
Sorry Gojo Fans, Gege Has Officially Revealed An Even Stronger New JJK Character
Gojo is powerful, but this new JJK character might be on a whole other level.
This game created a new arc to which Nanami is central. While Nanami is dead in the original series, he’s still good here and is featured in a stunning new opening made by MAPPA just for this new arc, titled Chained Chase.

- A New Arc for the Smartphone Game Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade
Jujutsu Kaisen fans have been getting quite spoiled by MAPPA Studio lately. Recently, for the JJK mobile game, Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade, MAPPA created a brand new opening with great animation. Fans were definitely not expecting all of this for just a mobile game, but MAPPA didn’t disappoint. What’s more interesting to many fans is that this new opening, Chained Chase, features a deceased character who was brought back for the newly created arc, Cursed Prison Island. As is clear already, this character is none other than Nanami, who had died during the events of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2. Nanami is central to this new arc as he has to be rescued from a prison for Jujutsu sorcerers by the others.

Should The Jujutsu Kaisen Anime Add New Original Arcs?
Filler Arcs Aren’t Normal Anymore in Anime
A few years ago, filler arcs were standard for an anime series. But now, the occurrence of filler arcs is less frequent with the rise of seasonal anime instead of weekly anime. It’s unlikely that Jujutsu Kaisen will ever add a whole filler arc to the anime, especially as the story is only about to get darker with the beginning of the Culling Game arc in Season 3. Fans can always expect new additional content from the mobile game, Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade, on the other hand.
The Jujutsu Kaisen manga ended in late 2024 but can be read online for free. It is available to access on Manga Plus where this series used to be serialized weekly. For fans who want to now check out the new JJK sequel, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, the series can also be read on Manga Plus, where it will drop weekly. Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 5 will be released on October 5, 2025.
