This article contains spoilers from the Jujutsu Kaisen series.
Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen is an absolutely incredible series that fans know to be one of the very best new-gen series out there. Featuring an exciting world with sorcery and cursed energy, among other things, Jujutsu Kaisen is filled with incredible action, and that's what made fans fall in love with it. Unfortunately, the JJK manga ended in 2024. This was devastating for many fans, especially as its final arc was quite rushed.
Every Main Jujutsu Kaisen Character's Age, Height, And Birthday
Jujutsu Kaisen is among the biggest ongoing anime. Here are a few basic details fans should know about the main characters as they join the adventure.
It was also a huge hit for Weekly Shonen Jump, which has now lost one of its best-selling series. Jujutsu Kaisen’s success was so massive that it even beat out One Piece in sales at times, and that's huge. Jujutsu Kaisen has been gone for a year now, and since then, some new exciting series have emerged with the potential to replace it, like Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, and some others, like Kagurabachi.
Dandadan
Supernatural Meets Aliens
Dandadan has always been a popular manga, but its popularity really skyrocketed once it got its long-awaited anime adaptation. Dandadan is more comedic and light-hearted than Jujutsu Kaisen, but it’s a story that also features the supernatural and extraterrestrial.
Dandadan’s story and characters have had fans hooked, and the incredible anime adaptation is only serving to make the manga bigger. This series has definitely been one of the highest-selling in Japan, and it can definitely be a manga that manages to fill the hole left by JJK in the long run.

Kagurabachi
A Story About Sorcerers, just Like Jujutsu Kaisen
If there’s one manga series that has no connections to Jujutsu Kaisen but emanates the same energy, it’s definitely Kagurabachi. Ever since its rise to popularity, many have started referring to it as Jujutsu Kaisen’s replacement in Weekly Shonen Jump.
Kagurabachi, just like Jujutsu Kaisen, features sorcerers. While not the exact same, both series have darker themes, and some incredible fights that fans will want to tune into weekly. Kagurabachi will definitely blow up even more once its anime releases, which could be as soon as next year.

Horikoshi’s Upcoming New Manga
Horikoshi’s New Project After MHA
Horikoshi has become one of the biggest known names in the manga industry, and that’s all thanks to his hit series, My Hero Academia. My Hero Academia became a household name for Weekly Shonen Jump, and its ending definitely left a huge hole to fill.
5 Sorcerers With Gojo-Level Potential In Jujutsu Kaisen
Gojo is the strongest, but these characters have, at the very least, the potential to match him someday in JJK.
Thankfully, Horikoshi has already confirmed that he will be returning with a brand new manga, and he'll be writing and illustrating it himself. Horikoshi’s new manga will likely be a departure from MHA, and could come in clutch to replace both MHA and JJK.

Gege’s Upcoming New Manga
A New Gege Project That Could Leave JJK Behind
Jujutsu Kaisen will probably be remembered as Gege’s greatest work, but it definitely won’t be his last. Gege had to rush through Jujutsu Kaisen due to health issues, but it’s clear that he loves working on these stories. Gege has already mentioned in the past that he wants to start a brand new manga series, separate from Jujutsu Kaisen.
What this story would entail and when fans can even expect it is still unknown. For now, Gege is more than busy with Modulo, but his return with a full-fledged new manga will definitely be welcomed by fans.

JJK Modulo
Jujutsu Kaisen’s Very Own Sequel
Undoubtedly, if there’s one manga series that can fill the spot that Jujutsu Kaisen has left behind, it’s Jujutsu Kaisen’s official sequel, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo.
Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo saw the return of Gege Akutami as the writer, and fans were definitely hyped for what he had in store. So far, Gege hasn’t disappointed. The story of Modulo is set 68 years after the fall of Sukuna, and the story is only getting better with each chapter. Gege has introduced a new trio made up of Yuka, Tsurugi, and Maru, and they have a big challenge ahead of them, which is to secure peace between the humans and aliens. The only bad thing about Modulo is that it will be a short manga, and will likely conclude in less than a year.
