Jujutsu Kaisen has become a sensational series that has enthralled the anime community with its intense battles and compelling cast of characters. Authored by Gege Akutami, Jujutsu Kaisen tells a dark and twisted fantasy story about a young boy named Yuji Itadori who leaps feet first into a world he didn't know existed, which places the fate of the entire country, and perhaps the world, into jeopardy.
Yuji's story is accompanied by that of Satoru Gojo, the proclaimed strongest sorcerer in modern-day, who earned the title by dominating the world of Jujutsu Sorcery. As a force of nature on the battlefield, Gojo is the living deterrent that keeps the peace. Throughout the story, Satoru Gojo breaks the laws of physics and accomplishes feats that should not be possible, even by Jujutsu Sorcery standards. While preparing for the next season of Jujutsu Kaisen and more chapters of its sequel manga, here are some of Satoru Gojo's most overpowered moments in Jujutsu Kaisen.
Humbles A One Finger Sukuna
Gojo Shows That He Is The Strongest
Very early on in Jujutsu Kaisen, the main plot develops when Itadori Yuji ingests the cursed finger of Sukuna, giving him a vessel and bringing him into the modern day. Shortly after, Satoru Gojo appears, and the first clash between the King of urses and the Strongest Sorcerer erupts.
8 Jujutsu Kaisen Characters Who End Up Being Surprisingly Weak
Despite how imposing they seemed, these Jujutsu Kaisen characters turned out to be surprisingly weak.
While tensions are high, the battle is incredibly one-sided. Explained further in the story, Sukuna is the embodiment of a menace, even with just one finger. However, Gojo makes quick work of the king and even shows off to his students, displaying a level of strength that even a three-finger Sukuna couldn't match.
Breaking Through A Barrier Specifically Made For Him
A Feat Only Possible By The Strongest
During the Kyoto Goodwill arc, Jujutsu High comes under attack by a gang of sorcerers and curses working under Kenjaku. Their first act is to place a barrier over the school grounds, locking Satoru Gojo out, allowing them to wreak havoc without interruption. The barrier is a massive dome and incredibly well constructed. Unfortunately, Satoru Gojo is the strongest, and it only takes him a small amount of time to brute force through the barrier and air out the entire area. The act of destroying a veil specifically designed to keep him out speaks to just how overpowered Gojo can be.
Surviving Being Stabbed In The Head
Satoru Gojo Is Even Stronger Than Death
During the Hidden Inventory arc, Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto come under attack by the sorcerer killer, Toji Zenin. For the first time, Gojo is completely overwhelmed by the pure physical capabilities of a single person as Toji picks Gojo apart easily. After penetrating Gojo's limitless technique utilizing a cursed tool, Toji stabs Gojo through the head and pins him to the ground. While this would be the end of any other sorcerer, Satoru Gojo not only survives but receives a power-up due to the trauma that unlocked his full potential. He reappears before Toji, ready for round two and riding the high of discovering the essence of cursed energy.
Pushing The Prison Realm To Its Limits
Satoru Gojo Is The Strongest In Any Dimension
The Shibuya arc of Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the best and chaotic arcs in the series, where all hell breaks loose and multiple curses, including Sukuna, go on a rampage. But this is only made possible by Kenjaku's plan to seal Satoru Gojo and take him off the board by using the Prison Realm. After being worn down, Gojo is blindsided by the false Geto's return, which gives Kenjaku enough time to activate the Prison Realm, trapping Gojo in another dimension. Surprisingly, Gojo's presence in the Prison Realm affects the object, making it nearly impossible to move and giving Gojo dominion within the pocket dimension. Gojo's ability to overwhelm the Prison Realm and ignore its effects is a phenomenal feat that even Kenjaku wasn't prepared for.
Turning Hanami Into Graffiti
Walks A Special Grade Curse Into Dust
The Shibuya arc was a rare opportunity for Gojo to exert himself when a carefully laid ambush was prepared for him by several cursed spirits, including Jogo and Hanami. Utilizing Simple Domain, both curses tried to create openings in Gojo's defenses. Unfortunately, this backfired as Gojo manipulated his Limitless Technique freely turning it on and off, leading Hanami to release her Simple Domain. Thrilled at Hanami's mistake, Gojo displayed a relentless focus, seizing the full opportunity to destroy Hanami by doing nothing but walking forward. Crushing the curse under the pressure of his technique, there was nothing left of Hanami but residue.
Takes On Sukuna, Mahoraga, and Agito
Holding His Own While Getting Jumped
As one of the most anticipated fights in the series, immediately after the Culling Games climax, Satoru Gojo returns to the modern-day world, and his fight with Sukuna finally begins. Their battle is fierce, with both sorcerers showing their expertise in understanding cursed energy.
Jujutsu Kaisen: Gege Reveals 3 Next Gen JJK Characters That Can Replace Gojo Satoru
Gojo's death shook the JJK world, but these 3 new gen sorcerers will replace him
However, while Gojo takes on Sukuna with only his left and right hands by his side, the King of Curses utilizes a slew of techniques and Megumi's shinigami to overwhelm his opponent. Without breaking a sweat, Gojo takes on Mahoraga, Agito, and Sukuna at the same time and pushes all three to their limits.
A Domain Expansion Of.002 Seconds
A Decision Made ON The Fly That Shouldn't Have Been Possible
One of Gojo's most mind-blowing feats in Jujutsu Kaisen took place as he was facing the special grade curse Jogo, Hanami, Mahito, and Choso in the Shibuya arc. Using innocent civilians as human shields, they tried to bind Gojo's hands and limit the options he had available while he tried to preserve life. Betting that he wouldn't risk using his Domain Expansion on regular people seemed to be a poor wager as Gojo quickly blew away all expectations.
In a deadly gamble, Gojo unleashed his Domain for a total of.02 seconds, using that brief fragment of time to kill every low-grade curse in the area and overwhelm the special grade curses, and ensure that the civilians went unharmed. Gojo pushed his body and speed to the absolute limit, proving why he is the strongest, because he is Satoru Gojo.
Repeated Domain Expansions
Healing His Brain To Perform More
In the long-awaited final battle between Gojo and Sukuna, it becomes clear just how outclassed the rest of the Jujutsu world was in terms of strength and power. Even the early moments of the fight were paramount as a single miscalculation from either fighter would have proved deadly. As expected, the start depended on the dominant power of Sukuna's and Gojo's domain expansion, with whoever overpowered the other coming out victorious.
In an overwhelming exchange, Gojo proved that multiple Domain Expansions were possible by using the reverse cursed technique to heal his brain mid-fight. This allowed him to repeatedly invoke his Domain, Infinite Void, several times with minimal damage to his body and mind.
