With Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo being set 70 years in the future, the state of the world during this time is quite different from how fans left the original series. With Jujutsu sorcerers being far weaker than they were all those decades ago and aliens being introduced, the power scaling land scape has shifted greatly.
When Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo began, it was revealed that Yuji is one of the only surviving members of the original cast, prompting every fan to note his absence from the series and ask where he has been all this time. However, Chapter 19 of the manga has finally answered this question, showing Yuji Itadori in his most powerful state ever.

Jujutsu Kaisen places a lot of emphasis on strength, so here are the 5 strongest characters in the entire franchise!
Yuji Makes A Triumphant Return In Chapter 19 Of The Manga
The Strongest
- The strongest of the modern era.
When Modulo began, many fans were convinced that it wouldn't have much to do with the original series due to it being set around 70 years in the future, which likely meant that most of the original cast would have died by that point. While this largely remains true for some aspects of the series, one of the biggest shocks came with the reveal of Yuji still being alive.
As if that weren't enough, it was even more surprising to see that he still retains his youthful appearance despite being around 90 years old at this point. When this was shown, hundreds of fan theories emerged which explained why this could be the case, with most citing him ingesting the Cursed Womb Death Paintings or his relation with Ryomen Sukuna.
While this is still a mystery, what is known is the fact that Yuji has fully mastered his multiple Cursed Techniques and is, by far, the most powerful Jujutsu sorcerer in the modern era. However, for one reason or another, he has gone missing and is completely out of the public eye.
This proved to be a massive inconvenience for the humans, who had to put Yuka Okkotsu as their most powerful representative to fight the strongest Simurian, Dabura Karaba. While undoubtedly talented, Yuka's own strength was far below that of her opponent, leading to her using the strongest application of her innate Ten Shadows technique by summoning Mahoraga to fight against the powerful foe, which has since proven to be one of the best fights in the franchise.
Sorry about this, Dabura.
However, everything changed in Chapter 19 of the manga, when Yuji finally made an incredible, albeit brief, appearance. As some human sorcerers and Simurians were about to battle, Yuji put a stop to it from much farther away with the greatest application of Piercing Blood that has ever been seen, eclipsing even that of Sukuna's.
Funnily enough, he didn't even use it to its full extent, since he merely created multiple points of the technique in order to incapacitate both parties to prevent them from fighting, with enough blood to completely take over the building they were in. As far as fans can tell, he is currently playing a role in preventing an all-out war between the humans and the Simurians.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Just Introduced A Character Stronger Than Toji Fushiguro
Maki has finally reached the level of Toji Fushiguro.
Why This Yuji Is The Strongest Sorcerer Of All Time
Master Of Multiple Techniques
- Likely stronger than Sukuna and Gojo.
Piercing Blood, and Blood Manipulation in general, are incredibly powerful and sought-after techniques in the Jujutsu world, and the stronger the user, the stronger the application of this technique tends to be. At the end of the original Jujutsu Kaisen series, Yuji was finally shown to have added it to his arsenal.
However, at the current moment, it seems that he has mastered it to an extent that even the strongest sorcerer in history, Sukuna, and other users of Blood Manipulation in the past like Choso, hadn't been able to do so. Piercing Blood is the most powerful application of this legendary Cursed Technique, and Yuji has shown the greatest control over it.
Did I overdo it?
This is very likely to be expected, since Yuji's immortality has allowed him to exist within his prime for multiple decades, ensuring that he has had all of this time to perfect his techniques. 'Techniques' is the key word here since the end of Jujutsu Kaisen showed Yuji unlocking Sukuna's Shrine as well as his own technique of targeting his opponent's soul through his punches.
With all of this time comes a far greater understanding of what he can do and the limits he can break, which likely puts him on a level even above Gojo and Sukuna. Plus, the end of Jujutsu Kaisen also showed him unlock some of the most powerful Jujutsu techniques that a sorcerer can have, such as Reverse Cursed Technique, Domain Expansion, Simple Domain, and just a far greater understanding and control over Cursed Energy in general, which may have gifted him the ability to use Black Flash at will.
Through these means, it can comfortably be said that he doesn't only have one of the greatest arsenals in the series, but also that his incredible power may just be at the pinnacle that none can reach. As for how this plays out in Modulo is anybody's guess, especially considering that it is a limited series slated to end sometime soon.
The battle between Mahoraga and Dabura seems to be at its zenith right now, with many fans expecting Yuji to make an appearance in this fight as well. The most common theory is that Mahoraga will get the upper hand and will be causing immense carnage in Tokyo, prompting Yuji to enter the fray since he is the only one who can destroy the Divine General for good.
Jujutsu Kaisen can be streamed on Crunchyroll and Netflix.
