Julian McMahon Had A Storied Acting Career, Is Best Known For Playing Doctor Doom
Following the success of Nip/Tuck, McMahon booked the most prominent role of his film career in Fantastic Four's Victor Von Doom. Not only was McMahon one of the stars in one of the biggest films of 2005, but he also got to bring one of the most famous villains ever created to life on the big screen. Sure, McMahon's Doom wasn't the most comic-accurate version of the character, but the actor did bring Doom's intelligence, anger, and obsession to life quite successfully. McMahon also reprised the role in 2007's Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.
After his time as Doctor Doom came to an end, McMahon continued to show up on the big screen in critically acclaimed films like Red, Swinging Safari, and Monster Party. McMahon most recently appeared in two films last year: Nic Cage's The Surfer and The Supremes at Earl's All-You-Can-Eat. Of course, McMahon was far more prominent on the small screen than he was on the big screen over the years.
