That's because Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is set to be removed from Netflix on July 16. According to What's On Netflix, the 2024 film starring the likes of Anna Taylor-Joy, Charlee Fraser, Chris Hemsworth, and more will only be available on the streaming service for another few weeks, meaning people need to get it viewed soon before it disappears as one of the various movies that are being pulled from Netflix in the month of July. However, it is pretty surprising that this movie is being removed because it's relatively modern, having only been released in cinemas last year, which made it a big film for Netflix to offer.

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga proved to be a popular addition to the franchise, gaining a 90% rating on Rotten Tomatoes as the film was praised for its brilliant action scenes and world-building. However, even though it was considered a hit from a critical perspective, with Mad Max fans enjoying it as well, the film did struggle at the box office. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga grossed $174.3 million worldwide, and while that's a strong figure, there was very little profit given the budget was $168 million, likely due to all of the incredible action sequences that featured no shortage of pyro throughout.

However, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga was named in the top ten films of 2024 by the National Board of Review due to how impressive it was, with the prequel film certainly being worth a watch for anyone who enjoys high-quality action or is a fan of the wider Mad Max franchise. This is particularly true for people who enjoyed Mad Max Fury Road, as this works as a direct prequel to that story. However, those hoping to do so on Netflix will be running out of time if they want to enjoy the film via that platform, as it will be getting removed.

There are currently no plans for another Mad Max movie to be directed in the immediate future, meaning Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga was the last installment in the franchise for the foreseeable future. That makes Netflix's decision to remove it even more devastating for fans, which is why many will no doubt be rushing to view it. However, given the popularity of the Mad Max world, it wouldn't be a surprise to see the film added back at some stage in the future for new fans and old alike.
