Universal Studios is preparing to release the final film in the Jurassic World series. In the lead-up to this explosive finale, Frontier Developments is releasing the sequel to its lauded dinosaur park builder: Jurassic World Evolution 2.
It's been three years since the first Jurassic World Evolution game was released. In that time, players not only learned the game's dinosaur behavior in and out, but they modded new dinosaurs into the game, such as the excavaraptor cut from the original Jurassic Park 4's rejected script. The developers have to add plenty of new content to wow returning players.
Jurassic World Evolution 2 aims to please. Not only are there now multiple types of environments for players to build their parks, such as deserts, but it also includes several new dinosaurs, such as the Pteranodon. There are also expanded construction tools, giving players more granular control over their buildings. And the time for players to experience these additions is almost here.
Jurassic World Evolution 2 Release Time
Jurassic World Evolution 2 comes out on November 9th, 2021. For players who want the exact hour, Jurassic World Evolution 2 will release at 6 AM Pacific Time, 9 AM Eastern Time, 3 PM Central Eastern Time, and 1 AM Australian Eastern Time on the following day, November 10th.
For players who want to pre-load the game, it should be possible on all relevant systems at the time of writing. Steam allows players to pre-load it 23 hours before release. The Playstation Store allows players to do so 48 hours before release. The Xbox Marketplace allowed players to start preloading back on November 2nd.
Frontier Developments has confirmed that Jurassic World Evolution 2 will have a noticeable day 1 patch. While it isn't looking as ludicrously large as Far Cry 6's day one patch, players with a physical copy should still make sure that their platform of choice has a good internet connection, and digital players should make sure their hard drives have some extra free space.
While the number of tools at the player's hands has changed, some basic strategies from the first Jurassic World Evolution should still hold up. Those who want a head start should research things like which buildings they should upgrade first in their own Jurassic World, or brush up on how some of the returning dinosaurs, like the velociraptor, tend to behave.
Jurassic World Evolution 2 will be available on November 9th, 2021, for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X.
