Jurassic World Evolution 3 is coming out on October 21, 2025, giving gamers and longtime Jurassic Saga fans the chance to build their own parks and breed their own dinosaurs. While the games have been cherished, there are certain aspects that fans hope to see in the third entry, including some that have been asked for since the first game.

Jurassic Park: Survival launches in 2025, but games such as Turok and Dino Crisis still provide strong dinosaur adventures.

With the official reveal, Frontier Developments has already confirmed that baby dinosaurs will be in Jurassic World Evolution 3, allowing the dinosaurs to breed on their own in the park rather than relying on hatcheries. Players had hoped for this since the start, so there is a chance that other long-requested additions and changes will be in Jurassic World Evolution 3.

9 Less Restrictive Maps

There Are Too Many Invisible Walls In Past Games

  • Frontier Developments’ Planet Coaster 2 has the largest maps for a park builder.

In both the first and second Jurassic World Evolution games, a common complaint is that the maps appear expansive with tons of intricate detail, but much of that detail is locked behind invisible walls. Even the most open maps are surprisingly restrictive, which can make things more challenging for the player in certain scenarios, but some maps leave gamers feeling more frustrated than challenged.

Since players will be receiving new maps set in Japan and other biomes, Frontier Developments should take advantage of these exotic locations with even larger maps than before, similar to how Frontier improved Planet Coaster 2. This should also allow players to have more control over terrain customization, which was also limited in previous games.

8 River Attractions

The River Raft Sequence Could Be The Perfect Ride

  • Every Jurassic Park sequel features unused ideas from past movies and novels.

With creatures like the Mosasaurus, Jurassic World Evolution 2 allowed park guests to enjoy marine reptiles on the stands, just like in the movies. However, this was the only kind of aquatic attraction when there was potential for more, such as riding down a river. It was shown in the Jurassic World movie that guests could kayak and enjoy up-close encounters with the more docile dinosaurs.

There could even be a more thrilling version of a river attraction, especially with Jurassic World: Rebirth adapting the river raft sequence from the book into live-action. Jurassic World Evolution 3 could integrate something similar to not only capitalize on the film, but provide something different from gyrospheres and tour rides through carnivore paddocks.

7 Humans Can Be Threats To The Park

Dinosaurs Are Not The Only Dangers In The Movies

  • Every Jurassic Saga entry also has a human villain.

Sabotage has always played a part in the Jurassic World Evolution games, but the player never sees it occurring. It’s always told through text, but as technology advances, Frontier Developments could make these instances more interactive, with threats visibly causing chaos in the parks, much like the dinosaurs do.

Every Dinosaur Confirmed For Jurassic World Rebirth (So Far)

Jurassic World Rebirth is going to feature many dinosaurs, including iconic favorites like the Velociraptors along with new ones like Titanosaurus.

It can be poachers trying to hunt or capture dinosaurs from their paddocks, or eco-terrorists trying to destroy the park. It can force players to pay more attention during quiet times, as someone could sneak in at any moment. If security can be dispatched to deal with rogue dinosaurs, there is no reason why the same couldn’t be done to human threats.

6 Direct Control Of Characters

Frontier Has The Opportunity To Blend More Genres

  • There was almost an open-world Jurassic World action game in 2015, but it was canceled.

There is no denying that people enjoy Jurassic World Evolution primarily for its park-building aspects. However, that doesn't mean Frontier Developments can't explore new genres. Currently, when something goes wrong with the dinosaurs, players send out a ranger, medic, or helicopter to address the issue. In Jurassic World Evolution 3, the gameplay could become more action-packed.

Instead of just observing a ranger or medic performing their tasks, players could have the option to switch to a third-person perspective as a park employee to handle the situation manually. This feature would create a sense of wonder when caring for a gentle giant like the Brachiosaurus, or instill a sense of horror when sneaking into a Velociraptor pen to repair a feeder.

5 The Cenozoic Era Can Diversify The Roster

Why Stop At Breeding Just Dinosaurs?

  • Cenozoic animals are featured in all Jurassic Park mobile games.

Each Jurassic World Evolution game has added new dinosaurs to the roster, resulting in everyone’s park being different from each other, from obscure carnivores to marine reptiles. However, the next game could go even further by including creatures from other prehistoric eras, such as the Cenozoic, which has radically different prehistoric animals.

It wouldn’t be the first time the Jurassic Saga has featured Cenozoic animals. Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous added the Smilodon to the canon, but the Jurassic World mobile games have featured Mastodon, Titanoboa, Thylacoleo, and many more. They could go even further by also including more creatures from the Paleozoic age.

4 More Dinosaur Behaviors

Animals Can Have More Personality Traits Than Ever

  • There have never been baby dinosaurs in the games.

The dinosaurs and their animations are always strong in the Jurassic World Evolution games; even just the visual of them walking through their paddock is satisfying to watch. However, they can also be very limited when it comes to their behaviors, mostly sticking to the same few actions repeatedly when content.

Jurassic World Evolution 3 introduces infant dinosaurs, enabling potential family and pack interactions to make players' parks feel more like a zoo. Parent dinosaurs may defend their young, similar to the Tyrannosaur parents in The Lost World. With dinosaurs being more visible, the game could feature realistic relationships between carnivores and herbivores, allowing for harmony instead of constant hunting.

3 Improved Dinosaur Customization

DNA Alteration Can Lead To Outlandish Looks For Dinos

  • Path of Titans allows players to not only play as dinosaurs but also customize them.

While it is fine to adhere to how dinosaurs look in the movies, the customization options in the Jurassic World Evolution games often seem like the bare minimum, with only slight changes to colors and patterns. Since Jurassic World Evolution is non-canonical, Frontier Developments has the opportunity to go wild with cosmetics for the animals.

11 Best Open-World Games Featuring Dinosaurs

The dinosaurs in games trope doesn't frequently make its way to huge open-world games, but there are a few beloved entries that fit just that.

1

Perhaps if a player wants to see more vibrant colors on dinosaurs in the wild, such as neon greens or purples, or if they want crests on a Velociraptor or a T-Rex, those could be viable options. Even in terms of design, Frontier Developments could allow alternate skins for dinosaurs that look drastically different from what’s seen in the movies, even featuring comical skins like a cybernetic raptor or a T-Rex seen in other films and video games.

2 Managerial Missions

Giving The Player More To Do While Running Parks

  • Before Jurassic World Evolution, fans played Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis for park-building simulation.

Management of the park often feels sterile and safe in Jurassic World Evolution games, with most problems being resolved with a few clicks or simply by spending in-game money. It often makes the games feel more like a big-budget mobile game, when there could be more for the player to do as the theme park manager of a genetic wonderland.

Rather than just viewing everything from above, gameplay could be expanded to allow the player character to walk around the park, interacting with guests to learn what they want or need, and speaking with staff. Maybe certain threats to the park require the on-foot presence of the manager, either taking care of the situation directly or saving guests who get stuck in the park.

1 Deeper Story-Driven Campaigns

The Games Have The Prime Opportunity To Create Unique Stories

  • Bryce Dallas Howard has reprised the role of Claire Dearing in every game.

Since the Jurassic World Evolution games take place in their own alternate timeline, they have demonstrated the potential for unique stories in the previous installments. However, longtime players have expressed that the narratives ultimately boil down to challenges with familiar characters’ voices guiding them. In a sense, the campaigns are little more than elevated training modes.

With a proper campaign, the manager's story could lead to Jurassic Saga content that reflects the player’s dreams, following the same convoluted narratives of man playing god while still featuring the park builder gameplay. This could also allow for extended cutscenes with both original characters and famous ones, especially as new characters join the franchise in Jurassic World: Rebirth.
