2025 has been the definition of a transitional year for Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump, and fans know very well that this transition stems from two of the biggest hits of the magazine, My Hero Academia and Jujutsu Kaisen, officially wrapping up. Naturally, the conclusion of these series has left holes to fill in the magazine. After My Hero Academia and Jujutsu Kaisen, more series are following suit now, such as Sakamoto Days. In times like these, the importance of young blood in Jump is highlighted more than ever before. New Shonen Jump hits are needed, and Weekly Shonen Jump has done incredibly well to find one in Kagurabachi.

Kagurabachi is a relatively new series that has been gaining significant traction in Weekly Shonen Jump and is quickly becoming a fan favorite. While the manga is doing well, it has just received a setback as the series goes on a sudden break. The reason for this break isn’t entirely clear, but the manga will be returning after one weeks.

Kagurabachi is a relatively new series in Weekly Shonen Jump that is about to hit 100 chapters. Fans have certainly been enjoying it to the absolute fullest, and can’t wait for it to finally get its much-anticipated anime adaptation.

While there's a lot of excitement surrounding Kagurabachi at the moment, the manga just received a setback as the creator, Takeru Hokazono, took a sudden leave. This was unexpected and has definitely made fans worried.

The official Kagurabachi X account commented on the matter, but the reason for the break remains unclear as “production circumstances” was quoted as the main issue. The problem might have been the creator getting quite overworked recently and needing a break. Takeru Hokazono did need to draw a whole lot extra recently, such as with his collaboration with Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia, among other projects he worked on.

“Due to production circumstances, Kagurabachi, originally scheduled for publication in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 48 (on sale October 27), will be on hiatus. The continuation will be published in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 49 (on sale November 4). Thank you for your understanding.”
