Hardcore Mode for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is the ultimate immersive medieval experience, with fewer visual indicators, no compass or map location, and harder enemies. Perhaps the biggest feature, however, is the fact that players must select at least 3 negative Perks, exclusive to Hardcore Mode.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 - All Unarmed Combos & Where To Learn Them
There are 8 unarmed combos in KCD2 for players to learn, and this guide will show players where they can pick up these brawling techniques.
These Perks make certain aspects of the game harder. For example, stealth is more difficult with the Heavy-Footed Perk, and players will have to obtain more food with the Hangry Hungry Perk. While players can take all 10 of these Hardcore Perks for KCD2 for a true challenge, players simply looking to survive will want to choose the 3 least harmful Perks.
Best (Least Harmful) Hardcore Perks For Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Menace - Doesn't Impact No Crime Runs
- The effects of being branded for a crime are permanent, and another serious crime will lead to execution. Guards will punish you more, and the consequences will be more intense. Guards are also more likely to search you.
The Menace Perk can be absolutely devastating, with players being punished for the rest of the game if caught committing crimes. However, for morally good playthroughs with no crime, it will have absolutely no effect.
Bad Back - Reduced Carrying Capacity Isn't Bad If You Don't Hoard Loot
- Carrying capacity is 50% lower. Whenever you bend down to pick herbs or mushrooms, there's a chance to strain your back and be left hobbling.
If players don't feel the need to hoard loot, then the Bad Back Perk isn't too bad after all. Henry can carry plenty by default, and will often have a trusty steed to share some of the burden with. There are also a few Perks and other ways to increase carrying capacity in KCD2.
Furthermore, picking herbs and mushrooms is not essential, as they can be bought or stolen from an apothecary. If Henry's back gets strained, it will heal after a short while.
Picky Eater - Not Impactful If You Eat Food After Buying It
- Food in your inventory spoils 25% faster. When gutting animals, you only get a quarter of the meat.
If players took the Picky Eater negative Perk alongside Hangry Henry, then they would certainly be in for a rough time with keeping Henry fed. However, by itself, it is one of the least impactful negative Perks. Simply eat food after buying or stealing it, and you rarely need to hunt animals to survive. Honey is a great option as it is found for free and never spoils, while also boasting a high nutritional stat.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 - 7 Advanced Tips
These advanced tips and tricks for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will help players get the most out of their time in medieval Bohemia.
Bashful - Use The Sun & Stars For Directions & Bathhouse Girls Aren't Needed
- You can't ask for directions or for special service at bathhouses. Gaining Speech experience is 20% slower.
If players know the maps fairly well or learn to navigate using the sun and stars in KCD2, then not being able to ask for directions and reveal Henry's location shouldn't be too big of a deal. The romance on offer at bathhouses is also not necessary, and Henry can still have his clothes washed here and get clean himself.
The most difficult aspect of this Perk is arguably the reduction in Speech experience gain, as this important stat can help Henry avoid many dangerous situations. However, by talking to more people, it will still level up to the usual levels eventually.
