Following on from the Taking French Leave quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, The King's Gambit is the next main mission in Henry's story, and a fairly important one at that. While his friends and other supporters of the imprisoned King Wenceslas meet at Raborsch, Henry is tasked with infiltrating King Sigismund's council meeting in Kuttenberg.

The first step is talking to Mint Master Vavak, who is reluctantly indebted to Henry, and he will tell Henry to take the place of one of the king's waiters.
How To Get The King's Waiter's Certificate & Clothes Legitimately - The King's Gambit - KCD2
When players arrive in the market area marked on the map, they should head to the northernmost row of stalls and look for a tailor. Upon arriving here, Franta Kuldaun will begin walking toward the tailor. Players can either talk to him now or after he's spoken to the tailor.
Henry will ask to take Franta's job, and players will have the option of a few skill checks, or they can always bribe him. However, his high cost of 1000 Groschen may be too much for players if they fail the dialogue checks.
All being well, he will hand Henry the certificate, as well as the clothes, if he has already picked them up.
Getting The Clothes If Franta Didn't Pick Them Up
If players talked to Franta before he visited the tailor, he will tell Henry where to get the clothes required to serve the king. In the market area marked on the map, the correct tailor can be found on the northernmost stall, between a grocer and an armorer.
Upon talking to him, Henry should have the dialogue option for:
- I heard you sewed the clothes for Franta Kuldaun.
- Franta asked me to pick them up.
As long as players have the certificate, he will hand the clothes over willingly at no cost.

How To Steal The King's Waiter's Certificate & Clothes - The King's Gambit - KCD2
If players were not able to convince Franta, or they weren't willing to bribe him, then they will have to steal the certificate and clothes.
During the day, Franta Kuldaun can be found at the Iron Eagle Tavern, north of the tailor. However, as others are around it's usually best to wait for night. Kunta sleeps in a loft in the Iron Eagle's garden. Sneak up, knock him out and take the following items:
- Royal waiter's certificate.
- Royal waiter's hat.
- Royal waiter's coat.
- The hose of a royal waiter.
If players find a situation where they rob Franta before he picks up the clothes, then the clothes are in the tailor's inventory.
As the quest is timed, make sure to turn up for duty wearing only these clothes and some shoes. Players can then continue with the rest of The King's Gambit quest, which includes a secret Sigismund ending.
