With two large medieval maps to explore, players can expect to find plenty of side quests during their time as Henry in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. While some of these side quests will have players laughing their heads off, often thanks to strange yet lovable characters, others are incredibly dramatic, and with multiple solutions and outcomes, players will feel as if their actions truly matter.

The following are just a handful of the best KCD2 side quests, with some of them rivaling missions from the main story. If players haven't experienced these quests yet, they should seek them out or even consider replaying them on a second playthrough for different endings.
7 Bellatores
Raid Cuman Camps With A Knight
- Region: Kuttenberg
- Start: Jan Posy of Zimburg in Bylany
If players want more combat in their side quests, then seek out Sir Jan Posy of Zimburg at the tavern in Bylany. He is looking for a fellow man-at-arms to help him rescue his brother. As his brother is being held captive in a Cuman camp, there are a few options for success. Henry and the knight can either try and fight their way through multiple Cumans, or Henry can try a more stealthy approach on his own.
Completing this quest will lead players on to a similar one, named Skeleton in the Closet, where Henry helps the Zimburg brothers retrieve an important chest.
6 A Good Scrub
Lots Of Partying, But With A Big Cleanup After
- Region: Kuttenberg
- Start: Bathhouse Owner Betty in the southeast of Kuttenberg
A Good Scrub is a side quest where Henry helps Betty get a new bathhouse up and running and must help her attract guests, leading to a fun night of debauchery. However, with an inspector arriving in the morning, there's a lot of tidying up to be done, making for a unique experience in the game.
After finishing A Good Scrub, players will then unlock a similar quest, Ill Repute, which may involve some sabotage as well as rivalry with the other bathhouse. Both quests are incredibly fun with varied gameplay and some great cutscenes.
5 Invaders
A Hillarious Night Of Drinking With Cumans

- Start: Talk to Innkeeper Betty in Troskowitz
The Invaders side quest is one of the first to be unlocked after Henry and Hans are involved in a brawl at the Troskowitz tavern. Return to Innkeeper Betty to apologize, and she will ask for help with ridding the place of some Cumans. While this will most likely lead to another tavern brawl, the true joy of the quest happens later when Henry visits the small Cuman camp just next to the Nomad camp.

Of course, Henry could just murder the Cumans in their sleep, taking revenge for the raid on Skalitz, but to get the most out of the quest, players should try a more diplomatic approach and prepare for a full night of raucous drinking. Without going into spoilers, players can expect plenty of bizarre things to happen, and depending on dialogue choices and skill checks, there are many outcomes, making this a great quest to revisit on future playthroughs.
4 The Fifth Commandment
A Murder Mystery With Multiple Suspects & Victims
- Region: Kuttenberg
- Start: Katherine at the Hangman's Halter Tavern
With a serial killer on the loose in Kuttenberg, players can talk to Katherine while she's undercover as an alehouse maid in Kuttenberg to start The Fifth Commandment side quest. However, as she later leaves the city as part of the main story, players must start and complete this mission before then.
She will let Henry know about a number of young women turning up dead, and with the help of Lumir, Henry must talk to witnesses, inspect the latest bodies, check on potential victims, and interrogate suspects. There are many red herrings and twists in this quest, and the wrong conclusion could condemn an innocent person to their death. Completing this quest is also necessary for romancing Katherine.
3 Troubadours
A Fun Quest Which Ends With A Hillarious Song

- Start: George and Michael at Zhelejov's Wagoner's Inn
There are many funny side quests in KCD2, and it is usually weird and wonderful characters who contribute to this humor. A great example of this is the Troubadours quest, which can be started at the back of the Inn at Zhelejov. The fact that the two budding performers are called George and Michael should already be a giveaway that this is a fun mission, and if players think this is just a coincidence, check what their names are in other languages. For example, in Czech they are Michal and David, with there being a famous Czech singer called Michal David.
Henry will need to steal a lute for the young troubadours, and later will need to find replacement strings. Upon returning to the Inn at any time, hearing them argue is always a treat thanks to hilarious dialogue. The end result of the quest is the highlight, however, with George and Michael performing a song for Henry. Additionally, if players complete this quest before attending the wedding, they will replace the default musicians.
2 Ars Dimicatoria
Side With One Swordfighting Guild & Best The Other
- Region: Kuttenberg
- Start: Menhart von Frankfurt
Ars Dimicatoria is not only a great mission, but it also unlocks a replayable tournament that gets harder each time, with rewards that also get better. To start this side quest, look out for Master Menhart von Frankfurt outside the armorers in Kuttenberg. He is offering to train people in the art of swordfighting. After dueling with Henry, players will then have the opportunity to side with Menhart or the existing Swordfighting guild, and they may change their allegiance at almost any time.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 - How Does The Kuttenberg Tournament Work?
There is a weekly Kuttenberg tournament in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, but how does it work?
Depending on the player's choice, they may now lead a heist, but either way, the conflict will result in a tournament between the two sides, with Henry's contribution being incredibly important. The outcome of this determines a lot, and even after the quest is finished, there are still some loose ends to tie. It can also be great to play this quest again in a second playthrough and choose a different side.
1 Bad Blood
A Quest Capable Of Breaking Hearts
- Region: Trosky
- Start: Herbwoman Bozhena at her hut
If players are looking for a dramatic quest with lots of tension and high stakes, they should pay Bozhena a visit at her hut. After helping Henry and Hans during the prologue, Henry can now help her search for her daughter, Pavlena. This side quest is known as Bad Blood.
At first, Henry takes on the role of a detective, but later the quest features a hostage situation with various outcomes, and depending on this, players may face some terrible decisions. Results can vary from bringing a village together to a blood feud consuming multiple lives.
