Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has a lot of skills and stats for Henry to manage, with multiple of them playing a factor in most of the things you can do in the game. Stealth is mostly optional throughout the game, though you can also choose to base a lot of your playstyle around it if you want.

Stealth has a lot of factors beyond just trying to avoid being spotted, with throwing rocks only be a small part of avoiding detection. Conspicuousness is a stat that is very important when trying to avoid being detected or even just recognized when walking down the street; here's what it does and also how to lower it.

Conspicuousness Explained In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Conspicuousness is a stat determined by just about everything you have equipped, with everything having its own conspicuousness stat that can be seen in each item's stat menu. Henry's overall conspicuousness is determined by the mean of each item he has equipped, with the highest being 100 and the lowest being 0. More often than not you'll want your conspicuousness to be low since that lowers your chances of being spotted or recognized.

When stealing, your conspicuousness will determine how determined the enemy will be in tracking you down if they see you and you break line of sight. If your consciousness is low and they lose sight, they'll quickly move on. If you're wanted for a crime and try to walk through town, a low conspicuousness will have most guards overlook you at first and maybe not even recognize you.

Raising & Lowering Conspicuousness In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Having a high conspicuousness means you stand out wherever you go. Things associated with a high conspicuousness stat are:

  • Wearing fancy clothes such as Noble's clothes.
  • Wearing expensive plate armor.
  • Wearing expensive jewelry.

If you plan on committing crimes or just focusing on stealth, you'll want to wear old clothes and don't look the best. While this will also lower your charisma and even lead to you being talked down to by other NPCs, you also won't be noticed when you don't want to be. When hovering over an item in your inventory, open up the Journal to see the various stats for that item with one of them being conspicuousness.

Remember that your overall conspicuousness is all that matters, so you're able to wear one or two pieces with a high stat as long as you balance it out with multiple lower stat items.
