Stealth can be a major part of your playstyle in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 if you want it to be. Stealth is a great way to avoid combat when you're outnumbered or can be used to complete objectives in enemy camps without needing to raise the alarm, or quietly take out enemies one by one.

While a lot of stealth relies on the position of guards, Henry can also throw rocks to get their attention and have them turn in a different direction. Players can also throw rocks at nests found throughout the world to knock them down to the ground; here's how to do it.

How To Throw Rocks In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

The first step in throwing a rock in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is that you must be crouching down to do so. While crouching, hold down the following buttons depending on what system you're playing:

  • Playstation - R1
  • Xbox - RB
  • PC - G

Holding down the button will have Henry pick up the stone and raise it to throw it, which will take about two seconds. His hand with the stone will be in your field of vision, and the dot on the center of the screen will indicate where you're throwing it. To throw it, simply release the button you're holding and Henry will throw the rock. It's important to know that rocks aren't thrown far, so you'll need to arc your thrown to get it right where you want. It doesn't matter what surface you are on, there will always be rocks to pick up and throw, and there's never a limit to how many rocks you can throw.

Tips For Throwing Rocks In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Outside of hitting bird nests to knock them out of trees, rocks will usually be thrown to get someone's attention. If you hit someone with a rock, they will face the direction the rock came from, and if they see you they will get very upset, especially if you do it a second time. Throwing a rock will attract someone to the location the rock hits, no matter what it hits, though the distance someone will hear it is only a few short feet.

You can slightly increase the radius of noise made by hitting certain things with the rock, such as a Silver Cup or Tin Plate to make a louder noise. This can attract a further away guard, though the amount of time they inspect the sound will never change and will only ever be a few seconds before they return to where they originally were.
