There are multiple systems in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 that let players make the things they use, such as blacksmithing and alchemy. The benefit of these systems is that you're able to determine the overall quality of the thing that you're making.

Potions are very straightforward as they have weak and strong variants, though weapons instead of a coin icon to show their quality. Here's what item quality means and how to get high-quality weapons and potions.

Item Quality Explained In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Potion quality is fairly straightforward to understand as strong potions are more effective than weak potions. Weapon quality is shown by the coin that appears next to the weapons' name in your inventory. Here are the following qualities:

  • Bronze Coin I - Lowest quality
  • Silver Coin II - Middle quality
  • Gold Coin III - Highest natural quality.

There is a second fourth quality which is higher than any other quality called Henry's Quality, which can only be achieved after ranking up your Craftsmanship skill to level 16 and getting the "Secret of Martin The Blacksmith" perk. Only Henry can hand-make weapons of this quality, leading to the best weapons you can get. The quality of a weapon determines the overall stats of that weapon, so a high-quality Broadsword will deal much more damage than a low-quality Broadsword. The quality of a weapon also determines its overall durability, with higher-quality weapons keeping their durability for much longer.

There are a few ways to get better prices in Kingdom Come: Deliverance to get the full value when selling something; here's how.

How To Make High-Quality Potions & Weapons In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Weapons are fairly straightforward in terms of quality, as it is only determined by how well you forge it. When forging a weapon, you'll need to perfectly mix flipping the weapon, hitting it in different spots, and only hammering it at the right temperature. Hammer to the tune that Henry whistles, and as long as you're always moving where you hit while you do, you'll just about always get high-quality weapons.

Potions are a bit tougher as it also comes down to the quality of the ingredients and how well you do when brewing. Dried herbs may last longer before going bad, but freshly picked herbs in very good condition will help you make higher-quality potions. When brewing, you'll also want to be careful you don't boil the potion for too long or for too short, as that's the main controllable element when brewing aside from getting the ingredients and basic instructions right.

High-quality potion ingredients won't guarantee a high-quality potion, but low-quality potion ingredients will guarantee a low to mid-quality potion.
