Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 fans are sharing their disappointment about the game's final DLC, with many considering it to be underwhelming. Mysteria Ecclesiae has been touted as the end of Henry's story in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, but many players aren't too happy.

The initial launch of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 received widespread critical acclaim. Warhorse Studios' sequel was very similar to its predecessor, albeit far more polished, and has launched three DLC expansions in the months since its release. In the lead-up to the game's third DLC, Mysteria Ecclesiae was hyped as the conclusion to Henry's story, which created an expectation about the scale and quality of the expansion. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to have met those community expectations.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's Final DLC Has Just 'Mixed' Steam Reviews

Over on Steam, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's Mysteria Ecclesiae DLC has "Mixed" reviews, with just 59% of them being positive so far. A Reddit discussion started by user RUGERchrxst has summed up the sentiment among the community, suggesting that it "could have been a base game questline." Users in the thread continued, with comments calling it "mid" and claiming it "doesn't feel like the epic end one of the best games of all time deserves." User Evening_Attempt2293 points out that expectations play some role in its reception, saying that "it would have been viewed more positively if it was marketed as an interesting adventure to do mid main story but not as THE last adventure."

The negative Steam reviews are similarly brutal. One user claims the story of the new Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 DLC is "rushed, predictable, and boring... Turns out, being stuck in church for 8 hours isn't fun." The lack of content beyond the main quest chain is another sticking point for players, too, who largely agree that the DLC struggles to live up to the quality of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's base game.

Although it's believed that Mysteria Ecclesiae is the final Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 DLC, it's always possible that Warhorse Studios will change course on this in the future. The developer hasn't yet revealed what is coming after Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, but given that the game only released this year, fans shouldn't expect to see anything from the studio any time soon.
