- Fans can expect over five hours of cutscenes and a bigger, more immersive open-world experience.
Fans will be given a new look at the medieval action RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 later this week. Warhorse Studios officially announced Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 with a reveal trailer in April, highlighting the title's improved graphics over its predecessor.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance was released in 2018, and while the open-world title received praise from audiences for its story and attention to historical detail, it faced criticism for its rampant technical issues. Following the announcement of the sequel, the development team noted that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is the game they had hoped to make six years ago, but couldn't because of their lack of experience and proper resources.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Revealed, and It's Much Bigger Than the First Game
Warhorse Studios and Deep Silver reveal Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, the sequel to the hit 2018 medieval action-adventure title.
A tweet made by the official Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 account is teasing a new trailer scheduled to be shown during Summer Game Fest this Friday, June 7. This year's highly-anticipated event will also feature announcements from over 55 game companies, including Capcom, PlayStation, Sega, and Xbox.
Players Will See More Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 During Friday’s Summer Game Fest
Although only a single trailer for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has been released, Warhorse Studios recently uploaded some behind-the-scenes footage detailing how the sequel was made to its YouTube channel. In contrast to the first game, the sequel will include crossbows and early forms of firearms that can be wielded on horseback. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will be twice as big as the first game and will include over five hours of cutscenes.
Set in the medieval Kingdom of Bohemia, the first game followed Henry, the son of a blacksmith who survives a massacre in his village. Fueled by hatred, he joins the service of Lord Radzig Kobyla, a man leading a resistance movement against the one responsible for the slaughter of Henry’s people. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will see Henry return to Bohemia, though he will be more customizable this time around. Players will be able to choose between knight, thief, scoundrel, and many other classes as they begin their new adventure.
Summer Game Fest will stream live on YouTube and Twitch on June 7 starting at 2:00pm PST. While the grandeur of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 shone through during its initial trailer back in April, fans are hoping to see more gameplay in the new trailer this week.
