The first world Sora travels to in Kingdom Hearts 1 (besides his hometown, Destiny Island) is Traverse Town. Not only is Sora trying to find his way out, but Donald and Goofy are actually on the hunt for a keyblade wielder, who happens to be Sora.
There are a lot of little sections and alleyways and rooms to explore in the quiet town, but if you follow this guide, you can quickly meet up with Donald and Goofy, get the heck out of Traverse Town, and continue the story.
It's very important that Sora finds the two iconic Disney characters, as they are as integral to the overall story of Kingdom Hearts as Sora is.
A couple of cutscenes will occur when you enter different locations throughout Traverse Town. If you want to get to the boss fast and leave ASAP, you should be able to skip most cutscenes by hitting the pause button and then the skip cutscene button.
Kingdom Hearts: All Keyblades In The Game, Ranked
Kingdom Hearts 1 is home to a plethora of great Keyblades, but some are simply better to use than others.
How to Find Donald and Goofy in Kingdom Hearts 1
Quick Traverse Town Guide
For those who just want to meet up with Donald and Goofy already and might be lost in Traverse Town, just follow these steps to reach the end of the world's story (at least for now) and travel to the next destination.
- After Sora speaks to Cid at his Accessory Shop in the First District, start heading to the large door behind it and enter it to visit the Second District.
- After the cutscene finishes, walk on the sidewalk to the left to enter the Hotel. Once you enter it, a short scene will play out, showing Goofy and Donald entering the Second District.
- Head back into the door you just came from to return to the Second District. You won't find Goofy and Donald yet, but head to the back of the area to enter a door leading into the Gizmo Shop. This will trigger another scene, showing Goofy and Donald leaving the Hotel.
- Exit the Gizmo Shop through the back door, drop below the ledge, and enter the fancy door in the alley leading to the Dalmatians House.
Kingdom Hearts: All Worlds From The Original Game, Ranked
The original Kingdom Hearts featured some amazing worlds for players to explore, but some were better than others.
- From there, go back to the Accessory Shop in the First District and speak to Cid again.
If you are a Kingdom Hearts beginner and have started to collect some of the Postcards in Traverse Town, you can actually give those to the mailbox in the First District to get some neat rewards. There are ten in total, and this guide covers their locations.
- When you step out, a cutscene reveals a character named Leon. You'll need to fight with him in battle for a couple of seconds. After, you'll be taken to a hotel room.
- Speak to Leon to let him know you're ready to go. You'll need to fight some Heartless while following him through different areas.
- Head to the Second District and then go towards the Third District to face off against a boss Heartless enemy, but this time, you get the help of Goofy and Donald.
