After an excruciatingly long wait, Kingdom Hearts 3 is here, and it's bringing a plethora of new keyblades with it. Now that Sora can freely switch between Keyblades in battle, building a decent arsenal will be the key to defeating the forces of darkness. If they're willing to put in the time, players can add a special Keyblade to their collection by completing tasks in the Kingdom Hearts mobile game.
For a limited time, Kingdom Hearts Union χ [Cross] is offering early access to the Starlight Keyblade to those who complete specific challenges. This Keyblade is the one used by player characters in the mobile title.
If you're not already an avid player, then the first step would be to download Kingdom Hearts Union χ [Cross] and play through the tutorial. Once access to the menu is available, click it and choose Other, then click "χ3 [ex tres]".
From there, choose "Classic Kingdom." All that's left is to achieve the necessary scores for each of the five specified goals. Once they're complete, players will be given the choice between a PS4 or Xbox One code that will make the Starlight Keyblade available in Kingdom Hearts 3.
It's worth noting that this Keyblade can eventually be earned later in the game. This method simply allows players to equip it from the get-go. It comes with 4 Strength and 4 Magic, with an MP Haste ability, so it can definitely help out with the early portions of the game. Its power is on par with the Keyblades given to those who pre-ordered, such as the Phantom Green and Midnight Blue Keyblade.
There isn't just an abundance of Keyblades in Kindom Hearts 3, but also sidequests and other activities to keep players occupied. They're entertaining detours from the main game, but they also offer helpful items and equipment. One of the earliest sidequests takes place in Olympus, where a little boy will ask Sora to help recover his missing Golden Herc figures. Completing the quest will reward a stat-boosting Hero's Belt.
Kingdom Hearts 3 is available now for PS4 and Xbox One.
