Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is currently at a moment where Boruto’s life could end at the hands of Jura, the strongest among the Human God Trees. After the release of chapter 22, it's clear that Jura holds the upper hand over Boruto, whose Rasengan Uzuhiko proves ineffective. Fans are starting to worry, but Jura may still find it difficult to kill Boruto despite the obvious difference in strength.

Jura has emerged as the primary villain in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, possessing immense strength far superior to any of the Human God Trees. He is the current threat Boruto needs to eliminate at all costs to prevent the worst-case scenario. However, fans know that it would be difficult for Boruto to overpower Jura, let alone kill him, at his current power level.

Jura’s Initial Excuse to Avoid Killing Boruto

Of all the villains who came after Boruto, Jura may be one of the most intriguing, given his curious nature and hunger for intellect. He longs for knowledge and purpose more than power, which is unlike any of his predecessors. He is incredibly interested in the human world, how it works, how its inhabitants behave, and how they respond to danger. He holds immense power and, so far, has used it wisely, opposite to Code, who is easily manipulated and controlled.

Jura has been a dangerous threat to Boruto and the rest of the world ever since he came into being. As revealed, Jura is the direct incarnation of the Ten Tails, making him a far greater problem than the rest of his kind. At the moment, he is the primary villain in Two Blue Vortex, the one Boruto needs to confront before turning his attention to Code, Kawaki, or even Momoshiki Otsutsuki.

In Two Blue Vortex chapter 4, Jura’s overflowing curiosity and thirst for knowledge take precedence over his instinctual drive to kill Boruto. His deep longing for knowledge held him back, allowing Boruto to escape temporarily. Boruto was not the only one who was spared by the Human God Trees, as Jura seemingly holds Konoha’s cultural value in high esteem, making him reluctant to wage war on the village.

So, Why Can’t Jura Kill Boruto Now?

He May Not Be Capable of Killing Boruto

In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 22, Jura makes it clear that he has come to the Land of the Wind to kill Boruto once and for all. He even revealed the main reason why he wants to end Boruto’s life. As it turned out, Boruto knew way too much about his kind, making him the most significant threat he needed to eliminate as soon as possible. However, fans know that killing Boruto would not be a walk in the park, even for someone as powerful as Jura.

To kill Boruto for good, Jura will have to confront Momoshiki, who has been lying dormant within Boruto for years now. Fans know that Momoshiki would never let anyone kill Boruto, as his death would mean the same thing to him due to their current body situation. Should Jura push Boruto to the brink of death, there’s a strong chance Momoshiki will resurface to deal with him personally.

On the flip side, another character may interfere in the middle of Boruto and Jura’s fight, preventing the Human God Tree from committing murder and giving Boruto a chance to escape. This character may either be Kawaki, whose limiters have recently been removed by Amado, or Kashin Koji, who refuses to let Boruto fight during the current sequence of events. It might even be Sarada, who has recently awakened her Mangekyo Sharingan: Ohirume.

More than anything, Boruto may soon unlock a new power, likely the long-speculated Jougan, which many fans have been dying to see appear in the manga. This powerful dojutsu has always been portrayed as a problem for the Otsutsuki in the anime, making its potential appearance even more significant.

With all this in mind, it seems unlikely that Jura will kill Boruto anytime soon, even if his powers are far superior. For now, fans will have to stay tuned for more developments when Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 23 drops next month!
