There are a couple of different "side quests" that trainers can complete after they run through the main storyline of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's The Teal Mask DLC. One of these side stories involves taking down the members of Kitakami's Ogre Clan. There are eight trainers scattered about the region, and there are some neat rewards players can earn by defeating them all. Here's where to find the eight Ogre Clan members and how to beat them in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Masamune

There's no specific order that players need to take on the clan members, so we'll list them in the order we encountered them in our playthrough.

Masamune can be found just east of the entrance of Kitakami Hall. Head over the mountain to find the trainer standing in a field near some trees.

Masamune will have the following Pokemon on their team:

  • Grimmsnarl (Lv 75)
  • Gardevoir (Lv 75)
  • Ribombee (Lv 76)
  • Clefable (Lv 77)

Fairy-type Pokemon are weak to Steel and Poison, so try and prioritize those types of moves if you're struggling in this battle.

Kotetsu

For the next member, fly to the Crystal Pool and immediately head south to find a small cave entrance embedded in a hill. Drop to the bottom of the chasm to find Kotetsu waiting for a fight.

Kotetsu will have the following Pokemon on their team:

  • Heracross (Lv 75)
  • Gallade (Lv 75)
  • Conkeldurr (Lv 76)
  • Kommo-o (Lv 77)

The team consists of Fighting types, so be sure to bring along some critters that know Flying or Psychic-type moves.

Hasebe

Head south of the Fallen Horn fast travel point at Fellhorn Gorge to find Hasebe, one of the Ogre Clan members. They will have a team of Water-type Pokemon, so come prepared with Electric and Grass-types.

Hasebe's Team

  • Politoed (lv 75)
  • Ludicolo (lv 75)
  • Drednaw (lv 76)
  • Basculegion (lv 77)

Raikiri

The next member of the clan can be found inside a cave behind Mossui Town. Look to the left of the waterfall that leads up to Oni Mountain.

  • Raichu (lv 75)
  • Probopass (lv 75)
  • Luxray (lv 76)
  • Vikavolt (lv 77)

Munechika

Fast travel to the Crystal Pool and head east/northeast to find one of the Ogre Clan members chilling by the edge of a cliff.

Munechika will have a team of four Normal-type Pokemon, which should all be able to be taken down with a powerful Fighting-type move.

  • Ambipom (lv 75)
  • Maushold (lv 75)
  • Greedent (lv 76)
  • Snorlax (lv 77)

Kunitsuna

Heading south/southeast of the Paradise Barrens fast travel point, players can find a small pond near Infernal Pass. Kunitsuna will be standing by the water, ready for a battle with their team of mostly Ground/Rock type monsters.

  • Carbink (lv 75)
  • Golem (lv 75)
  • Froslass (lv 76)
  • Mamoswine (lv 77)

Kanemitsu

Head a little northeast of the Paradise Barrens fast-travel location to find Kanemitsu. They'll have two Fire-types and two Grass-types, so keep that in mind before getting into the battle.

  • Ninetails (lv 75)
  • Shiftry (lv 75)
  • Chandelure (lv 76)
  • Lilligant (lv 77)

Muramasa

After defeating the seven members of the Ogre Clan, trainers must head to the entrance of Kitakami Hall to find the eighth member, Muramasa. He will be the hardest trainer of the bunch to defeat, as he has a team of five Pokemon instead of the traditional four, and one of them is even level 80.

  • Gengar (lv 75)
  • Crawdaunt (lv 75)
  • Trevenant (lv 76)
  • Dusclops (lv 77)
  • Kingambit (lv 80)

For each member of the clan defeated, Muramasa will reward players with the following items, ending with the Ability Patch:
