Once you beat the main story of Donkey Kong Bananza, you can pay a visit to the five Elders across the Layers to unlock more Banandium Gems, new skills for your Bananza forms, and more.

If you speak to Kong Elder in Lagoon Layer (and have collected 300 Gems), you can partake in the challenging course, Kong Elder's Rehearsal Hall. There are a whopping 10 Bananas to find, as well as hidden balloons that will reward you with a music disc if you find them all. This guide will show you the locations of the Banandium Gems and the five balloons.

During this course, you will have to play as Kong Bananza. Luckily, you won't need to worry about the power running out.

Kong Elder's Rehearsal Hall Balloons and Bananas in Donkey Kong Bananza

Banana 1 - Past the First Scrappin' Ground

Easily enough, just pass the first Scrappin' Ground section to earn this Banandium Gem.

Banana 2 - First-Scrap Detour

Right when you grab the first Banandium Gem, look at the wall to the left to find a suspicious spot that you can punch to find a side area. Hit the blue balloon to line up the monsters and then perform a Dive Punch on the switch to destroy the enemies in one go. The banana will appear by the doorway.

In the next combat area, look up at the tall pillar on the right closest to DK when you walk in to find an enemy with a balloon attached to it. Just defeat it to collect the first balloon of the course.

Balloon 2

Once you get to the Second Scrappin' Ground, get past the first section with the bombs using your Charge Punch to destroy the creatures that resemble a snake. Enter the doorway to reach the second area. Break the bombs on the right side of the area to reveal a hidden alcove you can smash through to reach the balloon.

Banana 3 - Past the Second Scrappin' Ground

Like the name of this Banandium Gem suggests, you just need to clear the second Scrappin' Ground section to earn this one.

Banana 4 - Lift and Destroy

After grabbing the third Banandium Gem, look to the left to find a punchable spot on the wall to enter the Second-Scrap Detour area. You need to throw rocks on the platforms and then use your Hand Slap to defeat the monsters. The banana will be awarded to you once you complete the side mission.

Once you reach the second part of the Third Scrappin' Ground, you will see a suspicious cube on the far right. Punch through it (while it's not spiky thorns) to find the next hidden balloon in Kong Elder's Rehearsal.

Banana 5 - Past the Third Scrappin' Ground

Just complete the third Scrappin' Ground section by letting the enemies drop to their deaths.

Banana 6 - Wallop and Destroy

Once you grab Banana #5, turn left to find yet another side area. You can lure the enemies to their doom by making the heavy void doors fall on top of them.

Balloon 4

In the second section of the fourth Scrappin' Ground area, you will see four spiked columns in a square formation in the middle of the stage. In the one on the top left, you will find a balloon inside it.

Banana 7 - Past the Fourth Scrappin' Ground

Complete the section with the annoying spiky monsters to get this Banandium Gem.

Banana 8 - Launch and Destroy

Turn left to find another side area after you grab the Banandium Gem for the fourth scrappin' ground. Use the X button to knock the explosive enemies up into the pillars.

Banana 9 - Bounce and Destroy

After clearing the fifth Scrappin' Ground, shoot yourself with the barrel and look to your left to find another secret side area with a Banana as a reward. You just need to carefully aim your punches to knock the enemies off the platform.

Balloon 5

Once you reach Kong Elder's Throne and are about to go into the barrel to reach the end of the map, go to the top right edge of the structure and break the wall to find a hidden balloon.

Banana 10 - Past the Fifth Scrappin' Ground

Reach the end of the course to get the last Banandium Gem.

What are the Duplicate Ancient Records for in Donkey Kong Bananza?

ancient record duplicate dk bananza

Once you clear the course and return to Lagoon Layer, you will unlock a golden Kong Bananza skill, but you won't be able to access it until you fully upgrade the Kong Bananza form's skill tree.

You will also receive a duplicate Ancient Record, which will appear next to the Elder's turntable. As of the time of writing, it appears there is no actual use for the dupe record besides using it as an indestructible surfboard/melee weapon while exploring Lagoon Layer.
