The 30-second teaser for The Last of Us 2 Remastered's No Return mode showcases Ellie navigating through different yet familiar locations and battling various terrifying enemies. Naughty Dog previously revealed that in this new mode, players will be able to assume control of characters like Joel, Tommy, Jesse, Dina, Lev, and more, facing unique challenges with different weapons, enemies, and abilities in each run. The trailer showcases what seems to be a thrilling and intense gameplay experience.

Naughty Dog’s Senior Character Artist, Del Walker, took to Twitter to share excitement about the No Return mode. Del Walker acknowledged that he doesn’t believe everybody is ready for how stressful The Last of Us 2's No Return mode is, stating that it is “not recommended for weak hearts.” Alongside the No Return mode, the TLOU2 Remastered will come with new additions such as improved loading times, full support for DualSense features like adaptive triggers and haptic feedback, graphical and performance enhancements, new character skins, a speedrun mode, a guitar free play mode, and lost levels that were previously cut from the original version.

While some players expressed anticipation for The Last of Us 2 Remastered's new mode, there are mixed reactions.
