The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered on PC has received yet another update, this time adding full support for Nvidia DLSS 4. Patch 1.4 also tackles a number of bugs and issues to enhance the experience for PC players in The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered.

PC players had to wait almost five years to finally see The Last of Us Part 2 available on their platform. The title originally came out in 2020 amid the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, taking the video game community by storm. The highly awaited sequel to Naughty Dog’s massively popular post-apocalyptic action-adventure game was very divisive, with a big portion of the fandom praising the title and others expressing discomfort. There were several major controversies surrounding TLOU2, but many of them revolved around the story, as a huge number of fans didn’t like how the events unfolded in the game and the ultimate fate the characters had to endure. Nevertheless, the game was a success and eventually came to PS5 and later to PC, and now Naughty Dog is rolling out a new update to make sure the game performs well.

Weapon upgrades can add some unique elements to some of the best weapons in The Last of Us Part 2, so long as players have the parts to do so.

Patch 1.4 adds to the previous five updates that the developer has released for The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered PC version, introducing features and fixing various issues. The highlight of patch 1.4 is the introduction of full support for Nvidia DLSS 4, a very helpful tool for improving performance. This comes with a menu that allows players to toggle between Legacy and Transformer models for Nvidia DLSS upscaling, as well as a “Max Generated Frames” menu option to control the number of generated frames on Nvidia RTX 50-series GPUs.

In addition to this, the well-made PC port of The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered received several bug fixes. Visual glitches like ghosting when using FSR Frame Generation, or flickering in hair, trees, and snow when Depth of Field was enabled, have been resolved. A strange bug that made it appear as though Ellie had a knife on her back during The Chalet has also been rectified.

Various other issues related to textures, camera, text, cinematics, and accessibility—alongside stability improvements—have also been addressed. Unlike the disastrous launch of The Last of Us Part 1 PC port, the developer has done a great job with the sequel, which currently boasts a “Very Positive” rating on Steam. While players explore Ellie and Abby’s journey on PC, Naughty Dog continues refining the game’s performance.
