After the heartbreak and trauma left over from The Last of Us episode 2's horrific death, fans saw Ellie and Dina set off on a quest for revenge in episode 3. Using grief as their driving force, the pair have now left Jackson, Wyoming, in a bid to track down the WLF and Abby in Seattle, but of course, their journey won't be that simple as they'll face many more challenges that will finally unravel Ellie's biggest secret to Dina. In The Last of Us' latest promo trailer for episode 4, fans think that the confession scene will be a lot more fleshed out than it was in the game, with Dina's reaction to the truth a lot more realistic, too.
In the HBO preview trailer, which shows some teases about what episode 4 will entail, fans also get to see what Ellie and Dina are up against when they get to Seattle, as the WLF (Washington Liberation Front) roam the overgrown streets as they come up against a group of survivors, with one asking, "Are you Issac?". As we know, Issac Dixon, the leader of the WLF, will be played by Jeffrey Wright, who also provided the voice and motion capture for the same character in The Last of Us Part 2. Further into the promo clip, Dina and Ellie encounter a horde of infected in the subway, with the trailer conveniently ending with Dina pulling her gun on a surprised Ellie, indicating that she finally knows the truth about Ellie's immunity. However, this moment is played out differently in the game, and fans believe that this impactful moment will now show a more authentic reaction from Dina.

Fans Believe Dina’s Reaction to Ellie’s Secret Will Be More Authentic Than It Ever Was in the Game
HBO's creators, Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin, have already stated that the TV adaptation of the game will change some parts from the game, so it doesn't come as a surprise to see this being implemented throughout Season 2's episodes. In Naughty Dog's The Last of Us Part 2, Ellie initially tells Dina she's immune after they've slept together, but Dina thinks she's joking, and the subject is left alone. However, later on in the game, when the pair come across a horde in the subway tunnels, Ellie's mask breaks and Dina tries to give hers to save her from breathing in spores, but Ellie removes it, revealing she really is immune, confirming her earlier claim. Although Dina is shocked by this once they've escaped the infected, her pregnancy news somewhat overshadows Ellie's confession. Now, fans believe that this important scene has been given the recognition it deserves in the show, along with Dina's realistic and honest reaction.

They completely glossed over it in the game." Another fan stated, "She is literally crying while holding a gun to Ellie's head. In the game, Ellie told her, but she couldn't process it as they were getting chased. Then, at the theater, her reaction wasn't that big or long, and they slept on it and never talked about it again. Now it seems she saw her get bitten and is coming to terms that she has to shoot her. So, YES, the show is way more emotional and has shown they are putting more time into these kinds of plot points."
Based on HBO's latest trailer, The Last of Us Season 2 is set to change Ellie and Dina's subway scene in a bid to make it a more fleshed-out moment and something that they may not have had time to unravel in the game. Either way, Dina's reaction seems to be a lot more authentic with regard to what someone would do in real life if they thought their loved one had been bitten or exposed to spores, ending their misery before they turned.
