For over a decade, League of Legends  has continued to enjoy consistent success. Although the franchise's dedicated community has been accused of being toxic over the years, League's gameplay has always been consistently solid. And now, developer Riot Games is closing the book on a gameplay element that has long been exploited by players.

According to League of Legends' notes for Patch 10.8, Riot will be introducing "wider changes" to the game's jungle. Previously, players who played as junglers would play aggressively at first in order to reap massive benefits either on. By re-balancing gameplay to give junglers a consistent source of experience points, the developer is hoping that this will give players some "breathing room."

Although League of Legends' more unforgiving players might complain that Riot's changes will nerf the jungler's benefits, this re-distribution might be a smart decision. By allowing newcomers who pick the jungle position to make mistakes earlier on, Riot will hopefully make the game less frustrating, and retain more players. Moreover, the players are not actually losing the resources and experience they win later on. Patch 10.8 simply allows these benefits to be spread out more evenly across a player's campaign.

League Of Legends Ultimate Path

Hopefully, Riot's improvements to the jungle position will make gameplay more enjoyable for both newcomers and seasoned junglers. And with the Legend of Runeterra spin-off on the horizon and ongoing updates, diehard League of Legends  fans will continue to have a lot to look forward to.

League of Legends is available now for PC.
