- Fans speculate on potential names for the upcoming game, anticipating a possible announcement.
- The leak suggests Ubisoft may reveal details on September 30th; fans are cautiously optimistic.
According to a new report posted by a leaker, the next Rainbow Six game could be called "Rainbow Six A***". It is not quite clear what the missing letters stand for in the next Rainbow Six game, but fans have already started speculating about what this name could be and have come up with some plausible options.
Rainbow Six Siege has been one of Ubisoft's most successful titles over the years, enjoying a significant competitive presence and a consistent player base over the years. While the director of Rainbow Six Siege previously denied any sequel plans, it seems that a new title in the franchise might still be in development.
Rainbow Six Siege Removes Popular Graphics Setting
The Operation Twin Shells update for Ubisoft's Rainbow Six Siege removes a popular graphics option from the acclaimed tactical shooter.
In a new tweet on X, Rainbow Six Siege leaker and modder Shiny reveals an interesting detail. According to the user, the next Rainbow Six game could have a name starting with the letter "A." There are also three asterisks following the letter "A," which possibly suggests that the name will be four letters long. No further details were provided about the game, and the leaker asked their followers to guess the remaining letters of the name. Fans have already come up with some plausible names, with the likes of AWOL, Atom, Aces, and Ares being some of the popular guesses by the community.
Rainbow Six Leaker Teases Possible Announcement on September 30th
Apart from that, the leaker also posted another tweet on September 29th teasing a possible announcement. They stated in their tweet, "I hope you guys are ready for tomorrow," without any information about what the possible announcement would be related to. Considering that this tweet came right after the new Rainbow Six leak, it is possible that Ubisoft is planning to reveal something related to that on September 30th. That being said, considering that Ubisoft just canceled its Tokyo Games Show plans a few days ago, fans are unsure whether Ubisoft would have a standalone reveal for such a highly anticipated title.
As far as the credibility of the leak goes, the leaker is quite renowned in the Rainbow Six Siege community, so it can be deemed fairly reliable. However, as is the case with most leaks, fans should always take it with a grain of salt unless things are confirmed. Some fans think Ubisoft might be aiming for a 2025 release date for the new Rainbow Six title. With Assassin's Creed Shadows also being pushed to 2025, the possibility of a Rainbow Six game coming out next year cannot be ruled out if Ubisoft is planning to compensate for its subpar performance in 2024.
