Though it might not seem like a major change, the Codex offers valuable benefits that prove quite useful for beginners.

LEGO Fortnite Codex Explained

The Codex is a resource that players can access in LEGO Fortnite by opening up their inventory and heading over to the Codex tab.

Though tied to the player’s inventory, the Codex serves as a comprehensive catalog of various game elements. When players encounter new items, resources, food, creatures, or enemies, corresponding entries will be added to the Codex. While many completionists might view the Codex as just a collection tool, it actually offers some practical in-game benefits as well.

One particularly useful feature of the Codex is its ability to display crafting recipes for tools, weapons, food, and equipment without the need to access a Crafting Bench. It also details which Utility Station is required for crafting each item, helping players strategize to maximize their yield of specific items. Additionally, the Codex provides information on the locations of sought-after materials like Obsidian and Blast Core, making it much easier to gather said resources.
