Throughout their journeys, players will gather various resources, each used to craft better tools. Many valuable resources, like Marble and Knotroot, need to be stockpiled in LEGO Fortnite as they are essential in various crafting recipes. However, one often overlooked resource is Vines, crucial for crafting Cord. Cord is a material players will definitely need in the Lost Isles update, making it vital to know how to obtain it.

How To Get Cord in LEGO Fortnite

Before players can get a hold of Cord to use in their crafting recipes, they will first need to build a Spinning Wheel, which can be found within the Utility section of the Build Menu. To build a Spinning Wheel in LEGO Fortnite, players will need the following resources:

8 Planks: Crafted via a Lumber Mill with Wood.
5 Wooden Rods: Crafted via a Lumber Mill with Wood.
5 Wood: Harvested from trees and wooden structures.
5 Wolf Claws: Dropped by eliminated Wolves in the Grasslands/Plains biome.

Once players have built a Spinning Wheel, they can craft Cord via the Spinning Wheel with 5 Vines — acquired by harvesting bushes and small plants with pretty much any tool in the game. Cord is a vital resource for crafting Drawstrings, which can be used to craft Recurve Crossbows, Flint-Knock Pistols, and the Pirate Musket. Each weapon is a great addition to the player's inventory, as they can be pretty helpful for taking on tough enemies from afar.

Another tool Cord is used to craft is the Explorer's Machete, which comes in handy for cutting through foliage and dangerous plants in the Lost Isles, as well as gathering Flexwood from Flexwood Plants. Cord is also a vital component for players aiming to craft the Grappler, making it a valuable resource to gather early on.
