Of all the violent creatures in the LEGO Fortnite Lost Isles update, the most dangerous ones that can be found are the Golems. These giants have the stoniest of faces, with rock-hard fists that can send even the most hardened LEGO Fortnite players packing to the respawn point quicker than almost every other enemy on the island.
LEGO Fortnite: How To Find & Upgrade the NaNa Village
The NaNa village can hold many bounties for those who have the dedication to find and upgrade it in LEGO Fortnite, and here's exactly how to do so.
Players who are brave enough can attempt to beat these colossal foes, but without the right equipment to hand it could be a rather one-sided encounter. With great rewards for doing so, it's time to aid in finding and fighting Golems, no matter if they're rising from the earth or the Storm-Wild-infused monsters in Beast Dens.
Where to Find Golems in LEGO Fortnite
There are three places where players can encounter Golems in LEGO Fortnite's Lost Isles biomes. While most commonly found wandering around the Jungle biome, they can also be disrupted from their slumber by approaching chests next to giant fruit statues. They're quite fast for their size and capable of annihilating unsuspecting travelers in one hit, so make sure to run if you're not prepared to fight it.
For those looking for a greater challenge, you can try besting a Storm-Wild Golem in combat by visiting one of the sealed Beast Dens on the floating islands. Your reward for doing so will be to get one of the coveted Rune Tomes, which you can read for a new upgrade unlock that you can apply to any weapon at your Rune Forge.
How to Beat Golems in LEGO Fortnite
Firstly, you need to make sure you have a decent weapon equipped to damage it. Sadly, the abundant pistols and rifles that the pirates use will not make a dent. It's rather essential to fight it using Epic tier or above weapons, such as the Throwing Spear or even a Star Wars Lightsaber. If the weapon has a multi-hit combo in its move set, this is ideal.
The Golems have three attacks. You can avoid its spinning by running to the side as it spins towards you. It will take some time to turn around, so keep running behind it until it stops spinning. For the punches, wait for it to wind up, then dodge to the side of the non-punching hand. Finally, if you get some distance, it will throw a rock at your position, so make sure to dodge before it lands. For each one you defeat, no matter if they're affected by Storm-Wild or not, you'll get the following items, one of which is the Rift Shard, which can help you make fast travel points:
- 1x Rift Shard
- 17x Obsidian
- 12x Essence
