The Build Menu in LEGO Fortnite is split into categories like Buildings and Utility. Players can either select from pre-made house builds or build a new one from scratch if they’re feeling crafty. It’s advisable to build a house in an area close to the desert and snow biomes.

Before they can build a house, players first need to find a flat plot of land and lay a solid foundation. They can use different kinds of Wood Foundations for this purpose. Once the base is laid out, players can manually attach other components to it. A good house comprises four things: a foundation, walls, entryways, and a roof. All of these pieces are available in the Build Menu.

Using the snap feature when placing down blocks allows them to match up and align perfectly.

The materials required to build a Simple Shack in LEGO Fortnite are:

  • Simple Shack Foundation base piece – six wood
  • Shack Wide Floor – one wood
  • Shack Wall – one wood
  • Shack Pillar (need at least two) – one wood each
  • Shack Roof support – one wood
  • Shack Ridge Roof Piece – one wood
  • Shack Half Wall – one wood

There is currently no edit mode while building in LEGO Fortnite. If players make a mistake, they can simply use their Pickaxe to destroy blocks and get back their resources.

It’s highly recommended to start building in Sandbox mode because players can have unlimited resources and every build recipe is unlocked here. On the other hand, it is more challenging to build in Survival mode, as players will have to run around and collect all the resources first. To make their house cozy and comfortable, players can add all kinds of details and decorations to it. They can craft a Campfire to keep them warm and add furniture items, such as a bed.
