Originally hitting store shelves in 1949, LEGO has come a very long way in the last 75 years, growing far beyond the company's original goals. In 2024, LEGO stands as one of the biggest toy manufacturers in the world, with its vast range of construction sets now covering a wide variety of original and licensed themes, encompassing major brands like Star Wars, Marvel, DC, and Super Mario.

But while its never-ending stream of real-world sets is by far LEGO's most consistent money-maker, it isn't the only product the company makes. Over the last few decades, LEGO has put plenty of resources into developing its own array of family-friendly video games, many of which have adapted beloved movie franchises. In producing these games alongside its sets, LEGO has continued to capture new fans, and those fans have a lot to look forward to this August.

If TT Games Ever Takes Another Stab at a Marvel Game, Copying Its Own Homework May Help

A new LEGO Marvel entry from TT Games would be great to see, and the studio's past titles have already laid such strong foundations for it.

August 2024 Is a Huge Month for LEGO Fans

August 2024's Humble Bundle is a LEGO Fan's Dream

For those unaware, Humble Bundle is a digital PC storefront best known for selling its titular packages. These bundles contain a handful of games, and consumers are given the option to pay as much as they want for them, with a portion of the proceeds going to a specific charity. LEGO has appeared quite a few times in Humble Bundle's history, but never quite as much as August 2024's line-up, which currently offers 18 LEGO games at an absurdly low price.

Titled "LEGO World Collide: The Ultimate Assembly," this August 2024 Humble Bundle is split into three tiers. The first tier includes five separate LEGO video games, including the first LEGO Batman, LEGO Marvel Superheroes, and LEGO Harry Potter, along with LEGO Lord of the Rings and The LEGO Movie Videogame. Fans can buy these games for a minimum of just a few dollars.

The second tier costs just a few dollars extra and contains another five LEGO video games, including LEGO Marvel's Avengers, LEGO Batman 2, and LEGO Harry Potter Years 5-7. And finally, for just $15, fans can get an eye-watering total of 18 LEGO games, including more recent titles like LEGO Marvel Superheroes 2, LEGO Batman 3, LEGO DC Super-Villains, and LEGO Worlds. Each one of these tiers also comes with an 85% off coupon for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga on the Humble Store.

August 2024's PlayStation Plus Free Games Have Something Big for LEGO Fans

PC gamers don't get to have all the fun this August, however. Those subscribed to PlayStation Plus will now be able to redeem their three free monthly titles. Headlining August's PS Plus line-up is LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, TT Games' most recent, and most ambitious LEGO title. Fans on both PS4 and PS5 can redeem the game and keep it for as long as they're subscribed to PS Plus.

A Plethora of New LEGO Sets Release This August

LEGO was already set to have an incredibly busy August even without Humble Bundle and PlayStation Plus, as all of its major lines have just received new waves. LEGO's Star Wars, Animal Crossing, Sonic the Hedgehog, Super Mario, Batman, and Marvel lines have all received a handful of new LEGO sets this August, some of which fans have had their eyes on for a while now. LEGO is also releasing its impressive Minecraft Crafting Table set this month.
