Warner Bros Games has announced that the LEGO Harry Potter Collection will be coming to modern platforms in the coming weeks. The original LEGO Harry Potter games were released as two separate entries in 2010 and 2011. In 2016, TT Games bundled both titles into the complete LEGO Harry Potter Collection and released it for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
Both games followed Harry, Ron, and Hermione’s adventures at Hogwarts, giving fans a humorous look at the Wizarding World. The game used the most popular scenes from the books and movies and weaved in a level of humor that the LEGO games are known for. Warner Bros is keen to capitalize on the success of Hogwarts Legacy, the publisher has confirmed that the fan-favorite LEGO title is set to release on even more platforms very soon.
The LEGO Harry Potter Collection will be released digitally across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S consoles on October 8, 2024. Double Eleven has been given the duty of handling the remaster of the fan-favorite LEGO title, which is set to be presented with a native 4K resolution, running at 60FPS. Much like the previous collection, all the content from Years 1-4 and Years 5-7 will be present along with all previously released DLC.

While the news of the LEGO Harry Potter Collection receiving a modern update is certain to excite fans, some may be disappointed that this isn’t the long-rumored open-world LEGO Harry Potter game. In 2023, fans were initially excited to see a post on the Warner Bros. South Africa Instagram account teasing the new game with an August 2023 release, although this was quickly removed and there have been no official announcements since.
The LEGO Harry Potter Collection isn’t the only Harry Potter video game that fans can get their hands on in the coming weeks. On September 3, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is set to be released across all available platforms and will focus on the most famous sport in the Wizarding World. PlayStation Plus subscribers can claim Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions for both PS5 and PS4 when it releases as a day-one debut in the Essentials monthly lineup.
