LEGO Party will launch on September 30, LEGO Group has announced. The newly confirmed release date positions it as the first—but not the only—LEGO game to hit the market in 2025.
Originally announced at Summer Game Fest 2025, LEGO Party is a multiplayer game developed by SMG Studio. The Sydney, Australia-based company has most recently worked on the two Moving Out co-op games, as well as the relaxing physics-based puzzler SPING, all released throughout the first half of the 2020s.

LEGO Party Opens Pre-Orders Alongside Release Date Announcement
Just two months following LEGO Party's Summer Game Fest reveal, SMG Studio's party game has locked in a release date: September 30. As previously announced, the title will be available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and PC. Its release date announcement was accompanied by the official start of the game's pre-orders, which are now available across all platforms, though with some limitations. Specifically, physical pre-orders are currently available only for the Switch and the current-generation consoles from Sony and Microsoft. The PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game will ostensibly be digital-only.
LEGO Party Physical Edition Pre-Orders
In this era of rising video game prices, LEGO Party will seek to stand out from the competition with a comparatively lower retail price of $44.99. Publisher Fictions has so far given no indication that it intends to offer multiple editions of the game. However, the company has already confirmed several pre-order incentives, such as five exclusive digital LEGO minifigures, including Shark Singer and Candy Cheerleader. A 10% pre-order discount available until September 30 was also promised, though it doesn't appear to be live on Amazon as of this writing.
Gameplay-wise, LEGO Party will seek to offer multiplayer mayhem for up to four players competing in 60 mini-games themed around iconic LEGO sets, including Pirates, Space, and Ninjago. The title will support both online and couch split-screen multiplayer. While it will offer a variety of challenges, the ultimate goal in all multiplayer matches will be to collect as many Golden Bricks as possible. Detailed character customization will be part of the package, featuring more than 1 billion minifigure combinations.
LEGO Party is currently on track to debut as the first new LEGO game of 2025. However, it likely won't be the only one, as the recently revealed LEGO Voyagers is also targeting a 2025 launch, though it presently lacks a firm release date. Much like LEGO Party, Voyagers is a multiplayer-first experience, though envisioned as a co-op adventure that emphasizes exploration and puzzle-solving rather than party mini-games. Longtime LEGO developer TT Games is also rumored to have another LEGO game in the works, with a recent report by Bloomberg's Jason Schreier suggesting the unannounced project is targeting a 2026 release.
