Pokemon fans who may want to get their hands on LEGO-inspired sets can turn to Bricker Builds to get their fix before the end of the year, but they should also be prepared to shell out a good chunk of money in the process. LEGO remains hugely popular both with fans and collectors, as the company continues to put out builds based on iconic IPs from video games, to movies, and everything else in between.

With the end of 2025 rapidly approaching, eyes have turned to 2026 to see what The LEGO Company has planned for its legion of fans. There's been no shortage of rumors and confirmations for many 2026 LEGO sets, including ones based off of Paris and a unique Japanese Cherry Blossom landscape. However, LEGO has plans for some big franchises in 2026 as well, including a Lord of the Rings set based on Gondor's capital city of Minas Tirith. Rumors of this set indicate that the collection will have over 8,000 pieces and likely cost anywhere between $600-$650. There are also big plans for Pokemon, though if fans don't want to wait, there is another, more immediate option.

Bricker Builds Has LEGO Pokemon Builds But They're Pricey!

While certain LEGO sets may be tough to come by, especially during the holiday season, there are alternative options available. Bricker Builds, a company that aims to inspire builders with custom LEGO brick creations, is offering their own take on many popular Pokemon creatures using LEGO bricks. However, potential buyers should be aware that these custom builds are not cheap with prices ranging from over $1,000 to $29.99. The main reason is due to how big these creations are, with many of the "life-size" models standing anywhere from 2 feet tall, like Charmander, and others checking in at a foot, including "Petal Pal" Bulbasaur and "Cutie Pie" Togepi.

Although the Bricker Build sets utilize LEGO pieces, it's worth noting that these are not official LEGO products nor are they licensed by Nintendo or the Pokemon Company. As such, the set names don't use official terms like Pokemon or any of the names of the creatures. Instead, the collection can be found under the "Pocket Monster" theme and fans will notice the sets use descriptive names like Proud Penguin for Piplup, Charizard is Fire Dragon, and Entei is Flame Hound. There's even a set based on the popular Squirtle Squad from the Pokemon anime, giving the likes of Eevee, Pikachu, and other starters the iconic V-Fin glasses.

It's also worth noting that many of these sets, or individuals inside the various collections are sold out, so it's clear that some collectors don't mind the high prices on some of these. Thankfully, there's a "notify when available" option for those who don't mind waiting for the restock.

LEGO Has Big Plans for 2026

For those willing to wait a bit longer for something a bit more official, 2026 appears to be a huge year for LEGO's collaboration with video game franchises. Numerous teases have set the stage for some highly anticipated sets, including one for another LEGO and Legend of Zelda crossover. However, the Pokemon franchise also appears set to have a huge 2026 with LEGO, thanks to numerous rumors and leaks hinting at various sets, including ones with franchise cornerstones Pikachu and Charizard.

While nothing is quite official yet, the partnership between LEGO and Pokemon has generated rumors of a huge set coming sometime in 2026. According to leakers, the set focuses on the Kanto starters of Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle and features 6,838 pieces and likely retail for around $650. The set will supposedly launch sometime in the first 3 months of 2026 alongside a handful of other Pokemon-related sets as well.
