It has been well-known that two LEGO games have been planned for this year, and it certainly seemed like LEGO The Incredibles was one of them. Considering The Incredibles 2 may very well be a big hit, it certainly wasn't a stretch of the imagination that it would get its own LEGO game. After a recent leak all but confirmed that this LEGO movie tie-in was in the works, today Lego The Incredibles has been officially announced by Warner Bros, TT Games, The Lego Group, Disney, and Pixar.
The official announcement for Lego The Incredibles practically confirms everything that leaked. The game is tied to both feature films and will release on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Like most LEGO games, players will have to combine the powers of the in-game characters to solve various puzzles and fight crime.
Alongside the official announcement, a small teaser trailer also released for the game. In it, players get a power sample of each member of the Parr family – Bob (Mr. Incredible), Helen (Mrs. Incredible), Violet, Dash, and Jack-Jack. Moreover, it also features Frozone and Edna, as they each add to the construction of an Incredibles Logo. Check out the official trailer below:
A recent advertisement also suggested that the Lego The Incredibles would release alongside The Incredibles 2 later this summer, which has been confirmed since both the game and movie launch on June 15, 2018. While the theatres are likely to be packed with nostalgic fans and young children alike, the LEGO game may very well do the same; after all, it has been fourteen years since the first movie, so this sequel and subsequent video game has been a long time coming. With LEGO The Incredibles launching in just a few short months, at least one of the two LEGO games for this year has been confirmed. The other LEGO title is rumored to be based on DC Villains such as Harley Quinn and Lex Luthor. Although gamers are still waiting on confirmation for the next LEGO game, LEGO The Incredibles arrives this summer and looks pretty incredible.
