Lethal Company: How to Disable Friendly Fire Griefing
Tired of getting knocked out by your teammates? Here’s how you can disable friendly fire and dirty griefing in Lethal Company.
What Are Fake Fire Exits?
Players typically use fire exits to get cover or during emergency escape situations. While the Mimic mod is activated, random new fire exit locations will appear within the game. However, a few monsters hide behind these Fire Exits, ready to take down as soon as a player steps onto their radar.
Once a player approaches these Fire Exits in order to take cover and tries to open them, they'll eventually get killed. Unfortunately, these fake fire exits can not be removed once the mod is installed. The only possible solution is to avoid them. Alternatively, players can choose to disable/remove the mod if they want to get rid of these creepy monsters.
How to Avoid Fake Fire Exits
Fake Fire Exits are death traps for the player, but luckily, there are a few ways to distinguish them from routine ones.
- Prompts: Normal fire exit will show the prompt “Exit” when a player interacts with them. In case of Fake Fire Exits, “Die” or “Feed” prompts will appear. By spotting this change in time, players can avoid interacting with fake fire exits.
- Brightness of light: The light above the fake fire exits appears slightly brighter than normal. If players can identify this difference, they can avoid getting into trouble.
- Exit door color: The doors of fake fire exits have a slightly different color saturation than normal fire exits. It can be lighter or darker, which a player can notice in no time.
- Mark normal fire exits: Fake fire exits are only inside buildings, while routine fire exits are inside and outside. Players can mark the usual fire exits when entering the buildings.
