How to Get the Shotgun in Lethal Company
To get the shotgun in Lethal Company, players must kill the Nutcracker and nab the firearm from its corpse. The Nutcracker is a new monster added in update 45, and they carry a shotgun to kill players and their team members. Seeing as the monster actively uses the shotgun, approaching and taking them down may be difficult. The Nutcracker won’t hesitate to aim and shoot at you and your teammates, making it vital to stealthily and quickly take them down.
To kill the Nutcracker, players must first locate him. The Nutcracker usually spawns the higher threat maps like Titan, Rend, and Dine in the facility interiors. You will need money to visit these moons and the best melee weapons, including Sign-Post, Shovel, and Yield-Sign. Once you find the monster, take them down with your weapon of choice, which usually takes 4 to 5 hits.
Instead of blindly charging at them with your shovel, wait until they reload to approach and hit, then retreat once their shotgun is reloaded. After killing the monster, take the shotgun from their corpse.
How to Use the Shotgun in Lethal Company
After picking up the shotgun from the Nutcracker, check the surroundings for two bullets and pick them up. Press “E” to reload your shotgun, and the left mouse click to fire. You can use the gun to one-shot and kill Lethal Company enemies within a two-metre distance. This includes the Masked Mimic and Thumper.
However, some monsters, like the Eyeless Dog and Bracken, may need more than one bullet to take them down. To get more bullets, kill more Nutrackers as they drop ammo once they’re down. For now, you will have to shoot with caution and only when necessary to ensure your bullets don’t go to waste.
