The intense gameplay and the environment of Lethal Company have taken over the Steam chart, making it the top-rated title on the platform and one of the candidates for Steam's Game of the Year. Throughout their journey in the game, players are tasked with collecting scraps from the abandoned moons and selling them to earn profit from the company.

However, their journey is fraught with a variety of monsters crawling around the facilities of the moons. Each of these creatures has a unique method of attacking people, and some are more dangerous than others. Hygrodere Slime is one creature discovered within the facilities that might interfere with the player's scrap-gathering run and can be deadly at times.

Lethal Company: How to Deactivate Land Mines

Land mines can turn a fun mission in Lethal Company into a deadly catastrophe; here’s how to disable them.

What Is Hygrodere Slime?

hydrogere slime

The Hygrodere Slime is a green and purple slime with the capacity to reproduce quickly and grow bigger. This monster can mostly be found inside locked rooms, relying on its senses to detect enemies, mostly through the sounds they make. Hygrodere Slime is one of the most dangerous monsters to face in Lethal Company, and can be tricky to escape. Though the monster appears innocuous at first, it has the potential to become lethal as it reproduces and grows.

The monster follows nearby sounds and slowly moves towards it to kill the target. Players can get damaged only if they come in contact with this creepy monster, but even a few seconds of contact will result in instant death.

How To Deal With Hygrodere Slime

The Hygrodere Slime is technically immortal and cannot be killed or split into pieces, thus making it a very challenging creature to face in the moons of Lethal Company. The best way to cope with a Hygrodere Slime is to jump on top of a railing or anything else that will raise the player above ground.

The Hygrodere slime will not climb any surface since it can only travel along the ground; thus, the players will remain safe. However, even if the player is on a railing, the slime will not go away. Instead, it will remain and wait for the player to come down. This can be dangerous for players who are trapped in a corner and have no way out. It is important to climb only on railings that can provide a safe space to move.

Unfortunately, if a player is trapped by the monster, the only way they can escape is by running over and crossing the slime. Since the Hygrodere Slime does not kill instantaneously, a lightweight player carrying fewer things may be able to survive the slime’s attack, but they will suffer significant damage.

Jogging over a large region might be hazardous if the slime covers a big area. This should be used as the last resort, considering there’s no guarantee that the players will make it past alive.

Since the Hygrodere Slime follows sound, players should avoid making loud sounds that can attract the slime inside the facility building. However, players can use the sound of the boombox or air horn to their advantage. The slime’s movement speed typically increases when it hears a boombox, which can give the players a decent chance to lure it inside a room and trap it.

Hygrodere Slimes can only be trapped behind locked or sealed doors. If you spot slime inside a chamber, it is better to close the door as soon as they leave. However, Hygrodere Slimes can squeeze themselves under other types of doors.
