The combination of a dark world inspired by the Belle Epoque era and challenging, visceral combat looks specifically designed to evoke comparisons to many of the genre's greatest games. In addition to the world and mechanics, the story told in Lies of P is a gritty take on the original tale of Pinnochio, which appears to translate remarkably well to the world of gaming.
The Best War Games recently spoke with Lies of P Game Director Jiwon Choi and Associate Producer H. Sun Choi to get answers to several key questions about their game and find out exactly what Neowiz has planned for the full release – and beyond. When Does Lies of P Come Out?
Lies of P will see its worldwide release on September 19, 2023. It will be available on PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass on Day One.
Will Lies of P Have Any Pre-Order Bonuses?
All versions of Lies of P will feature the following items as a pre-order bonus:

According to the official website for Lies of P, players who pre-order the Digital Deluxe Edition will get 72 Hours of Early Access.
How Many Versions of Lies of P Are Available?
Both versions of Lies of P – digital and physical – will have two editions: Standard and Deluxe Edition. How Long Will Lies of P Take to Beat?
According to Game Director Jiwon Choi, Lies of P will take approximately 30 hours to beat for "experienced Souls players." Those who wish to experience everything the game has to offer can expect closer to 50 hours of playtime.
Will Lies of P Feature Multiplayer Content?
Associate Producer H. Sun Choi says the team's goal with Lies of P has been "creating and perfecting a compelling single-play experience." Because of this, Lies of P will not feature any multiplayer content.
Will Lies of P Have Difficulty Options?
Due to the fact that the team at Neowiz and Round8 felt that the carefully-balanced soulslike mechanics could be compromised by doing so, they have chosen not to implement difficulty options into Lies of P.
Will Lies of P Have New Game Plus?
The developers state: "We do have a similar feature that works like a New Game Plus since Lies of P offers multiple endings, but we just did not name it as New Game Plus. When players start their multiple playthroughs, players will carry over their level, weapons, armor, and their progress on the P-organ system. There will be changes in the item's abilities, the amount of Ergo from each monster, and the power level of monsters as well. We hope this helps the players who will challenge for multiple playthroughs."
Can You Pause in Lies of P?
In order to keep a "tense and immersive experience," Lies of P will not be implementing a pause function.
