Once you make it to Donkey Kong Bananza's Tempest Layer (SL900), you will meet with the Elephant Elder, who will ask you and Pauline to retrieve two pieces of an Ancient Record.

In this layer of Donkey Kong Bananza, you can find the optional Tempest Layer Challenge Course 1: Liftoff Labyrinth. This course has not one, not two, but three "hidden" bananas (Banandium Gems) to collect, so this guide will show you where they are located.

If you want to 100% Donkey Kong Bananza, use this guide to find all Bananas in SL100.

Where to Find the Liftoff Labyrinth Entrance in Donkey Kong Bananza

SL900

If you're standing right in front of the Elephant Elder in Tempest Layer, simply walk to the right to find the sealed entrance to the challenge room. You can hold the L button to make Pauline sing to open it.

We have an image of the course location on the map above in case you're still searching for it.

All Bananas in Liftoff Labyrinth in Donkey Kong Bananza

Banana #1

In this 2D side-scroller stage, you'll need to avoid magma while using a new type of terrain that lets DK float up in the air while holding it. You'll need to carefully navigate the course to reach the end safely.

Luckily, the first Banandium Gem is right on the main path, and you cannot miss it.

Banana #2

You can get the second Banana in Liftoff Labyrinth in the section immediately following the first Gem. You'll hop across four of the rainbow platforms, and the main path will lead you up, but if you look carefully on the wall to the right underneath the magma platform, there's a gap you can enter.

You'll find some breakable terrain that leads you to the Banana and another one of those rainbow floaty platforms that you can use to get back to the main path.

Banana #3

And like most of the challenge courses in Donkey Kong Bananza, you will find the last Banana right in front of the barrel at the end of the level. Congrats!

You probably already know this, but Banandium Gems are used to unlock and upgrade Donkey Kong's moves in the Skill Tree. You can open it by pressing the up button on the D-pad, or just wait until you've unlocked a skill point (the menu will come up automatically, prompting you to upgrade).
